Problems playing KOTOR 2

However, once I clicked on the 'start game' button, the game (and I've done this several times) goes into a blank screen with some background noises, then crashes.
Has this happened to anyone else?

First make sure you have the latest patch installed, and then if you still have problems try the Obsidian forums for help.

And the front rank died
And the general sat and the lines on the map
Moved from side to side.

I have the latest patch, so I don't think that's it. I tried disabling movies; are there some that play anyway? I could always try and put my screen in a lower resolution... hmm.
thanks guys, all help is appreciated

I meant that I've tried creating a character and starting a game a number of times. I haven't yet got it to work... :/

However, KotOR 1 is a huge orgy.

However, when I play the game in windowed (Fullscreen set to "0" in swkotor2.ini) mode, everything seems to be working fine! The cutscenes look a bit odd stretched to my screen resolution, but at least the game no longer hangs. It's annoying, but at least it's playable, I guess.
Hope this helps.

I... don't know if it'd help for you... but I had a pretty similar problem with the game. The movies would play normally for me, but the game would hang up before returning to the actual game. I tried the patch, and no luck.

This isn't so much of a problem more of a question and hopefully somebody can give me a straight answer this time....i've heard that you can unlock some secret videos inside t3-m4 of bastila and carth, first off how do you do it, second, what allgnment do you have to be, third i've actually tried it several times but all i get is some stupid meditation thing with t3....please tell me how to do this in detail as i plan on making a run through in the next little while, and if you got the time please put in detail what carth and bastila say or at least talk about in the hidden messages in your reply, thanks....Anonymous

It's really pointless though, since this converstion option doesn't really net you anything.

Okay fellas, but that doesn't really help, trust me i've tried everyway and it never worked for me, dark and light, full influence, and nothing, somebody told me once that you have to have like 17 intelligence and some extra skill repair to get the option....is this true or not? and please give me a more straight forward response, thank you....

An intelligence of at least 16 is required as well as some [Computer] skills. The holovid can be via the second dialog option aboard the Ebon Hawk.
I'm not sure why you're making such a big deal out of it. All you get is a talking head. (Much like the Gekko reactor computer in Fallout 2)

1 is of Bastilla in jedi robes, of if Revan was male and lightside.
1 is of Bastilla in sith robes, of if Revan was male and darkside.
1 is of Carth in his new uniform, of if Revan was female and lightside.
1 is of Carth on unknown planet, if Revan was female and darkside (before she kills him)
The Revan male/female lightside/darkside is of course set by the questions from Atton at the beginning of the game.
They also require a computer use skill of something (13? 15? i cant remember for sure) and an INT of something (also cant remember, been a long time since I've played) to ask T3 where he came from.
