Ariena version 2.2 is there!!! The very first BG2 Half-orc NPC that is released!

This version includes:

An Aasimar blooded Half-Orc
Indepts to her Aasimar side via her personal quest (and yes a very wicked path can be taken)
The quest may lead to a change of heart either for the good or the bad
A challenge in which Ariena's past comes to the light
Banters with all bioware NPC's and the Kido NPC
Improved portaits
Heavy tested, so included no to the minimum amount of bugs.

She has contents from SoA to ToB. She is almost as far developed as Kido version 7.0, so the wait was worth it.

Tips:
* Alike Kido there are stat - checks. Involving Cha, Wis and Str.
* As I have seen a few questions now about this. You require a relative high Int or the presence of certain NPC's to start Ariena's quest

Warning! Installation without Kido is possible, but if you wish them together than please first install Kido than Ariena as is said in the read-me.

To make Ariena 2.0 (but not higher version as they have the patch included) see Kido 7.0 instead of a lower version of Kido than download the patch (thanks Toxeus for the help) here at SHS download center

Great news, always thought she was one of the more original NPC ideas around.

I do hate to correct you, but she is the second half-orc NPC. The first was in the two NPC set Mulgore & Xavia. I will say she is the first "solo" half-orc NPC, and the first for Baldur's Gate 2 (as far as I know).

It is just me, or does her kit seem like it would fit perfectly with the Katars and Bolas component of Ashes of Embers?

**EDIT #2** I keep getting "the file is not a valid achive when I try to open it from the first mirror, and the next two give me "This page cannot be displayed" pages. No Geocities mirror?

Finally, Ariena has been released! You've done an excellent job Deathsangel

But sadly, I cannot download Ariena from these Mirrors ... It seems that the first Mirror has a corrupt file--which WinRAR can't open due a 'Unexpected end of archive'. And the other two Mirrors doesn't work at all!

I figured out the flaw with the second mirror. You have it linked as http://ftp://mirror....b/iegmc/ariena/

It should simply be ftp://mirror.intermedia.com.sg/pub/iegmc/ariena/.

Same problem with that mirror as the first. Can't open it with winzip either.

Strange, cause it is just a zip file. It opens on my computer.

They links are provided by the Wizard. I don't know anything about that stuff. I'll ask him.

Downloaded, installed and ready for some slaughter with Ariena.    I'm sure Korgan will like her attitude quit a bit!

Oh, and Ariena isn't just the first female Half-Orc NPC--she is the very first female *planetouched* Half-Orc NPC!

Read the readme for instillations without Kido. I have not had any luck with converting the dummy file like Deathsangel suggested, but I got this file to work. Just drop it in your override (if I can post the attachment).

**Edit*** Attachments seem to still not work. - They do if you zip them, tard. - MTS

Anyway, I made a quick page to download the patch. Unzip the file to your override folder before installing Ariena.

Not trying to step on your toes, Deathsangel. I just know you are leaving soon and I wanted to help.

I changed the file it into a weidu install package. My crappy geocities site (in the link above) has it, as well as the attached file to this package. Simply unzip the contents to your BG2 folder and run "setup-Areina without Kido.exe".

My first weidu package....

**EDIT** Corrected the name, and added a readme.

**EDIT #2** corrected all the file names. I am very embarassed.

This is the part of the readme they are talking about folk:

INSTALLATION WITHOUT KIDO! ---> Ariena is actually part of a bigger mod I am working on and as such she already looks for the other seperate released NPC, Kido, upon installation. If she fails to find BKido.d in your override folder she will not install. This probably due to fact you didn't download him. No worries you need not, if you don't want to.
What must you do? You can use the 'keep-me.txt' file, which you can find in Ariena\Backup\0. Copy this file to your BG2 override folder. Rename this file copied to 'BKido.d' (so even delete the extension .txt). You get a prompt asking if you really want to do this. Click yes. You can now install Ariena.

Thus, I believe you also misread it a bit MayorTomSawyer. You ought to copy the file to your BG2 override folder and then rename it prior to install. You have to move it yourself though!. I had hoped it to be clear you ought to do yourself and prior to installation.

There is a small mistake in your .tp2 version by the way. It says:

Of course, I will leave it. I thought it just polite. I'm not mad or so, not at all. To change filetype make sure you can see the file extension and then just rename.
