As stated here, there's been a desire to see the portraits and main screen images incorporated into a mod. The mod also changes the paperdoll colours of all affected NPC's. It's fully compitable with any other WeiDU mod.

~ BALDUR'S GOTH II - v.1 ~

==========================

- A Baldur's Gate II (SoA with or without ToB) Mod

+) Section 1. About
===================
  Baldur's Goth II is a mod which enhances the graphical side of Baldur's Gate, in an attempt to make the game more 'Gothy'. The first version features edited portraits and paperdolls of all NPC's, as well as a new startup screen for both SoA and ToB.

  Baldur's Goth II has support for Throne of Bhaal, but the expansion is not required.

+) Section 2. Installation
==============================
  Baldur's Goth II is a WeiDU mod, which can be installed before or after any other WeiDU mod. Official patches and non-WeiDU mods should be installed prior to all WeiDU-mods, including Baldur's Goth II.

  The mod has two separate components:
  
  1. NPC Enhancements
     This component will add new portraits and change the paperdoll colours for all joinable Bioware NPC's, including Sarevok for ToB, as well as for Jon Irenicus.
     
     You can choose to install the portraits or the paperdolls separately, or to combine them. The latter is recommended for full experience.

  2. New Main Screen Images
     This component will change both the SoA and the ToB main screens.

    Original Aerie, Anomen, Cernd, Edwin, Haer'dalis, Jaheira, Jan, Keldorn, Korgan, Mazzy, Minsc, Nalia, Valygar, Viconia, Yoshimo and Sarevok Edits.

  Lightspeed -
    Main Screen Images, CRE-tweaking and Additional Editing.

  SConrad -
    WeiDU Coding and Packaging (really, I didn't do much at all).

  All included portraits are edits of the original Baldur's Gate II artwork.

Wow. Best mod EVAR.

Love you cats, seriously. This is much better then my old method of using Shadowkeeper with these pics (I'll still have to use it for my Jaheria so she can have her red hair).

Now I just have to weak it so I can use it with TuTu.

**EDIT** Is this compatable with 1PP? I assume it will work with the "Remove helmet animations" done by the G3 Tweaks? Now more then ever I love that component.

I'm afraid further tweaking should be left to those who actually have a clue about the "goth-y" ways. -_- I'm just not the most suitable person to do that sort of thing, I guess. ^_^

Besides, isn't there going to be further development on this mod? I know LucyTheBeast wanted to see Chloe. Why not a cross-mod add-on?

I'll toss the Gothanya portrait in to the main mod release of Kitanya as an Easter Egg if anyone wants it. I'll even throw in some accompanying dialogue.

Speaking of modding, I listened to IER 3 yesterday, so you can have another quote for your signature: how come you sound so damn cool, as well as look it? It's unfair. Seriously.

Did this mod gets its own forum? I can't see anything in the Released Mods section of the forum.

For my part I think it should, so at least visitors can see it listed as a completed mod they can use if nothing else. Copy the Topic from FanArt (Layer of Reality now) into the new forum for a start!

It is hosted here right? :)

After checking I can't find this listed anywhere other than here and FanArt. It's not on the main site page or in the Downloads section either. I know if it had a forum there would be plenty of artists who would contribute from time to time and other modders could request their NPC's to be Gothicised (?!).

@ LucyTheBeast - Dunno if you check this forum or not, but if you want (and Dymphna does not mind) I can include the Goth Chloe in my Crappack along with the edited paperdoll to match the pic.

Same offer for Rastor and the Gothanya portrait (I know he is buried with work).

For the record I am nagging discussing with the admins about this mod getting it's own forum.
