A while back, I had some screen shots of areas in the Sunless Citadel over in the modder forum areas. That was before the move here and the official forum for this mod (which didn't have a name back then). So I will post up a few shots of new areas and possibly some actual screen shots of the mod in action.

Here is the latest area. This is MistMoor, a very small town/village outside of the swamps on the Sembian coast. The tiles are from DiabloII. Anyone interested in them can go to Blackwyrm's site and check them out.

Juan, I said it was right in the readme. Some of the mods used are based originally in Greyhawk but I moved them to Faerun (Forgotten Realms) because I had already planned out some of the locations.

Sir Kill, the area is 79x59 which is the largest area map I am ever able to successfully make. I have heard that 80x60 has problems and I have experienced some of them myself.

The town isn't big but it was never planned for you to go snooping into every peasant's containers. The town of MistMoor is home to a cursed noble family. The next map to the east will be the area around that family's haunted mansion. I will probably use a map from BG1 to create that area.

The second outdoor area of MistMoor. This is the MistMoor estate on the edge of the swamps. As the estate owner will tell you, he is planning on draining parts of the swamp to increase the village's farm land. That could make some interesting druid dialogs.

This is the proposed area. I may change it again. I haven't really figured out what I want for the estate other than this large building (anyone recognize it?) and the smaller out building which are all part of the storyline. The place isn't going to be "in" the swamp so I had to show that. However, it looks too out of place with the rest of the areas. :(

Sir-Kill, the files are small because these are BMPs of the MOS files.

Neat. I like the idea of the wall, enclosing the compund. Would not the trees inside the compound (except for the blooming ones) have the same dark folliage? Or some trees in the forst have lighter one, to sort of give it more of the 'sameness'?

I thought about that. The idea is that the viscount (estate owner) is pushing all the swamp out so he wouldn't want any swamp trees on his estate. In the large area before it, I will place some tree stumps to that the swamp is being cleared out for farmland. As part of the banter when the party enters the estate, Ril will mention how he had to ship in these trees to start changing the land.

If Faldorn was a member of the party, you could bet there would be a fight at this point. Since there are no druids other than maybe the player, I was thinking of a small banter questioning the wisdom of this project. It would shift the balance and it would be troubling to any druid. However, the answer is that livestock, deer, moose and other animals can now use the land. So is that good or bad? Something a druid may have to think about for awhile.

As for the map, I was thinking of replacing the top right corner with a plowed field. Perhaps to show that more than just the land under the estate has been changed. That way, the left side is swamp and the right side is pasture/crop fields.

All these NPCs and no druid? :D

Actually, a druid worth his weight in leaves will dryly point out that when floods or droughts are going to become more severe, they can all thank the viscount and his ingenious reclamation of the wetland areas for agriculture.

This is the next area of the mod. It is the bridge heading into the city of Selgaunt. For those who have read the Sembia series, you know that this bridge has houses and businesses on it. The bottom southwest corner is the entrance to the city proper. The caravan tent is where Lord Mac will drop you off if you traveled here with him. Otherwise, you will appear just south of the tent.

Remember this?

... So is that good or bad? Something a druid may have to think about for awhile.

Or an elven ranger, like say Paraway. ;) Ah, more discussion, ha haa.

Here are some shots of a new mod that we are planning to include soon. If you haven't already heard, we are working on the Palace of the Silver Princess (B3) mod. These screenshots are of the land the palace is on. I have nothing of the inside yet since I haven't finished making those three levels.

You may notice that I have a new NPC with me. This is Chaarna. She will be able to join you on this quest (she still gets captures by the slavers).

So as I am slowly building out the areas of the Silver Princess, here is a rough design of part of a dungeon level.

This is by no means complete. I still have some items to place in the rooms and I need to finish the upper right area. I still have the rest of this level to create and then the lower (enterance) level to start work on. This is why creating new mods takes a very long time.

You can start playing now if you like because the completion date is expected like 2-3 years later. It's going to be a long long wait.

Here is a little teaser for you. This is part of the lower level of the Silver Princess area.

Oh, as a bonus, I am randomizing some of the area traps. So each time you play, different traps will be active. MHAAAAHAAA!!!
