Let's give a big welcome to Lord Ernie who has graciously consented to help with Tashia.

What this means is that she will actually start get the written material added (that which is already up). What this also means is that there will be new NPC banter material. as well as extra riddles for ToB.

Additionally, we hope to fix the bugs that seem to have arisen given the latest versions.

I'm not a regular in these forums but Tashia was always in my install :)

Fortunately you two will make a good pair and get the work going at some steady pace, it saddens me to see as most mods nowadays, even small bugfix or improvement get scheduled not in days/weeks but in months/years!

But as the Lady Bri says, welcome Lord Ernie ^_^

Heh, being welcomed after spending 2 years in these forums is a bit strange, but better late than never, I suppose :D.

Seriously, I will start coding all this up in the coming weeks, but I won't get up to speed until September, as I've got some stuff (re-examinations) to do in Mid-August. (Note: this is not an ETA, in any case. I'm not going to promise a release date :D)

As for the bugs, I know we've had several bugreports in this forum, but I'm not quite sure which ones remain in the current version. Now, to see if there are any bugs left, I'm going to install Tashia, and check for myself. Problem is, I've got a strange tendency to have fairly bugfree games, even when others encounter bugs all the time. So, if anybody knows of any bug that remain in the current version, you can post them in here or PM them to me, and I'll see if I can track them down.

Oh, and Bri and Himself: thanks for the welcome, I'll try not to outlast it :D.

Ernie if you're a man of courage, one of those that say "Do your worst!" and you want more bugs than you'll ever had wished to, then install BP, and then Tashia and then every other weidu mod you can find.. its almost sure to happen !

Course you should avoid known buggy add-ons, like the shorter cut scenes for example.

But hmm.. does a mod tend to have more bugs in the botton, or in the top of weidu list ? This one got me. :(

Not to be cruel to the original writer (as I know its an old mod) but my advice is to recode Tashia entirely to bring it up to date with modern coding (Tashia's joining dialogue doesn't even have CHAINs!). It'll make it a helluva lot easier to add in new lovetalks etc. I did try and start this but I didn't get very far, as its a beast of a task.

Actually, I've already (succesfully) added a lovetalk, to give it a try. Admittedly it's a floating one (it's the Brynnlaw LT written in one of the stickies), but it didn't give me too much trouble. That's not to say revisiting and improving the old code is not going to happen, but it's not one of my priorities at the moment.

Besides, as I've noticed all too often: if it ain't broken, don't fix it :).

I'll be the first to admit I'm not a man of courage :). I have never installed BP, and I tend to keep the mods I have installed, besides the NPC mods I'm playing at the moment and a series of tweaks and fixes, to an absolute minimum. It's out of principle: don't wake a sleeping dragon :).

Yeah, thats a floating talk. Inserting a new one into the track is gonna mean changing the numbers to accomodate it. Again, I cannot stress enough that I think a recode might be a sensible idea given when the mod was made.

Well well, what have we here... Bri, a most excellent writer, has joined forces with our clever Belgian! Now if you two are unable to improve Tashia, I promise to eat my hat in public! :)

Good luck with the project, I shall keep an eye on your progress. :new_thumbs:

Lord Ernie has already done an excellent job of things. He has almost all the old material encoded, though we do plan on heavily re-editing them.

As it is, I did get 4 new banters written up, and over 20 new riddles completely different from those in the game and ones Tashia already has for ToB. Truth be known, I am the one slowing things up a little ;-)

As I've said before, the coding is usually the easy part. Writing up a good banter and editing the dialogues takes (for me, that is) at least half an hour, whle coding it takes about 5 minutes. Coding a lovetalk takes longer, but so does writing it. And for writing a good banter or LT, you need to have an idea, and inspiration doesn't take time into account. Really, I'm doing the easy work here :).

We're not yet in the testing stage, it's all still being written and coded.
