Just a tip: If you're having problems that other people are not having, you either messed up the install or installed a small mod that is causing problems.
Sometimes even a very small mod can mess with an important file and then you get your game down the hole.
You know I almost could not reinstall my game this time.. and I've 3 copies of each cd, all my disc 2 were very damaged.
Cant wait to install the new BP and then shove everything in a DVD with a registry file, no more need to reinstall everytime I screw it up

First, thank you very much for answering...
Now the question, if I reinstall the game, do i have to restart a new game to correct the bugs ?
Thanks...

works more or less like that: if you installed XYZ with weidu and XYZ already had some impact in your game, your saved game is going to check say the variable 162 for some info about XYZ, if that info is no more in place 162, cause your new install has put something else in 162, then it will only get worse. But it only affects what you have already done in your saved game. If you have never found an NPC, he still does not have any info in your saved game, and then he wont be bugged.
If you havent installed much beyond the regular BP guess a reinstall can only fix your problems
I "think" thats how it works, could be wrong.

I don't feel like starting over once again..... That would mean to many hours of game thrown to the nettles....
I hope i won't have too much trouble continuing...
Thank you anyway for your kind answers...

well it depends.. everything that you installed using weidu will probably get messed up, unless your install can match the exact pattern you did before. (means you must install everything in the same order)

I figured the source of some of the problems i think : again, it is because it checks my "old" Fighter Class instead of my new mage class. i am now level 19 mage, and level 12 fighter, and for example i can't start the quest initiated by Forp in TDD because my level should be greater than 12, and to the program it will never be...

Guess i srewed up my installation. And as far as i remember i did nothing wrong. I only tried to install some additional weidu shop mod (don't know right now must have been Tazia's shop ?! ). I don't understand why such small mistake could lead to such bad results. Installation failed by the way. Got an error message that said installation could not be finished.
Even though i'll keep on playing because i wanna finish my new Samurai character and use it in the new weidu version of BP. Right now i've become some sort of CLUA expert in beaming in missing persons

This is obviously the root of your problems.

For the first time in my BP history i'm also confronting some serious bugs. That's really annoying because the first time i played BP there were only some minor bugs. Right now i had serious bugs like Xzar not appearing, Mook not appearing, can't get into Rayic Gethras house
I have these exact same bugs, yet I didn't install any additional mods other than the ones mentioned in the BigPicture161G_Manual.pdf file (which includes NeJ). I had to do a manual install as I couldn't find the auto-installer, but I didn't encounter any problems during my installation whatsoever.
At this point I really have no interest in doing a complete reinstall, but seeing as I'm not the only person encountering the same bugs, I wonder if Rubberduck's problem really had to do with installation issues. Might be worth looking into the matter all the same, in any case.
In the mean time, what's my best course of action? Spawning the missing characters with CLUA-codes, re-installing the entire thing (despite the fact that nothing went wrong in my case, or at least I didn't notice anything wrong), or is there a patch for this problem already that I'm not aware of as of yet? All of these issues seem related to the Docks district for now, btw.

you seem to be missing AR0300.bcs (the script for the docks - it's what controls the door to Rayic Gethris' door, Mooks' scene and Xzar's appearances). if yr lucky, you'l be able to find it by searching yr BGII folder - if you find a copy of AR0300.bcs in a backup folder somewhere, try copying it to yr override folder and then - using a saved game from before you entered the docks area - re-entering the docks to see what happens.
if you can't find a copy of AR0300.bcs in a backup folder somewhere, then you havent got too many options other than a reinstall (altho someone might have one they can post here for you - i cant, as i'm at work at the moment). if you've not got a saved game, then yr options are: new game; or learn to use NI or DLTCEP, and remove AR0300 from yr worldmap.
