I'm at the part where you fight those three Red Wizards and I defeated them all. But Edwin - unfortunately - got killed.

Dekaras said I was supposed to protect his student, yadda yadda yadda... Good thing I always come prepared.

Now my screen (which I alt-tabbed out of, hehe ^^) is kinda stuck in cutscene mode with Dekaras yawning and looking around constantly with my waiting for him to do something. It's either that this is a bug or Dekaras is just a lazy bum..

Oh, and also, just in case I have to load a recently saved game (which has to be the auto-save, I mean *has* to), any tips on as to how I can defeat the three Red Wizards and the Thayvian Knights without taking 15+ min would be appreciated.. It took me 23 min. to beat them all with everybody dead except for me.

Sounds like a bug, you're supposed to be able to resurrect Edwin, and get some dialogue afterwards.

Too bad you don't have an earlier game, I always enter that fight with all my party under protection from undead, so we can kill the three wizards, and Banco can't do anything.

As to what you can do-remember you have to kill the Red Wizards to make Banco vulnerable.

(last resort, if you have cheats enabled, just CTRL+Y the wizards and the knights :whistling: )

Hmm... CTRL+Y? Never heard of that command before, but if it takes 2 more times to do this part, then I'm using that since I have cheats enabled. x_x; I'm such a cheater. ^^ Although it doesn't ruin the fun for me somehow. o_O I enjoy watching the enemies gib.. :D Anywho... Thanks. ^^

I've had that problem too. As long as Eddie doesn't die, the scene goes as planned.

You won't get exp for CTRL+Y'ing enemies, but it works in a pinch. Banco's still a pain even without his apprentices and knights. That one attack spell he does can kill off a low-level sorceror in one hit...still better than being hit with death spells by that blasted Unseeing Eye...*mutter*

Sounds like a bug - if Edwin dies, Dekaras is supposed to use a Rod of Resurrection to bring him back to life. If you have a save game of the bug, please send it to me.

Well, I have a save game before I went inside the building, I'll have Edwin die again and see if it works this time. Perhaps it'll work the 4th time he dies. x_x; And how do you send a save game?

I tried the CTRL+Y command and I'm disappointed when the enemies don't gib when it does like, 1149 dmg. o_o; And yes, I just found out it doesn't give exp, but oh well. u.u

Go into your BG2-SoA folder, and inside there should be a subfolder called 'save'. Inside, you'll find the save games. Zip the appropriate one up, and mail it to me, or else to Nebukad.
