Shield question

Aside from internal kit values, whats the best manner of disabling shield usage when coding a kit?

Item usability flags inside the .itm-files. Of course, this part of the IE engine is hardcoded, so you'll need to work around it with tp2 ninjary if you add a new kit.

It's not impossible, but hard.

If you don't want anything in the shield hand, but an unremovable item there.

I was looking at that. I'm assuming that I'd need to code up a kit, would you have to give this some sort of internal byte value to then use in the tp2 gymnastics?
