Having repeatedly encountered problems with original bp-bgt i'm thinking of dumping the lot and reinstalling everything with the weidu versions. I have the lastest of everything except BP since its not out yet.

From reading the install i'm gonna take this route:
Install BGI&TotSC then patch
Install BGII&ToB then patch
Extract SoS-WeiDUv102.rar to BGII directory
Install SoS
Extract TDD_weiduv1.zip to BGII directory
Extract TDDweidu1to2patch-fixed.zip to BGII directory
Install TDD
Install TSv60
Install NeJ v2.1b
Install BGT-WeiDU 0.99 BETA2

I'm curious:
1) Where does 'TSv60bifferv2-fixed' come into the installation??
2) Is 'Baldurdash-WeiDU v1.4' necessary??--\
3) Is 'BP-BGT Worldmap v3b' necessary?? --- if so when do i install it?
4) Is 'BP_s_and_h_Patchv7' necessary?? --/
5) Is 'Shorter, Better, Transition' already included or compatible or worth installing??
6) Are SoBH, DSotSC, NTotSC workable?? and if i install them now will i need to remove them to install BP when it is released??

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I make no guarantees that SoBH, DSotSC, NTotSC, or BG1NPC are going to work on this new version. I have not tested any of them yet.

If you are using the Weidu versions, why would you need the S&H patch? You don't even have BP installed!

Worldmap - I thought the guys included this into BGT-Weidu. If not, install after any other mod installs a Worldmap, otherwise, that map will overwrite the Worldmap mod version. BoneHill still has a Worldmap as part of it's install, therefore assuming BoneHill works, it would have to be installed before the Worldmap v3 mod.

Based on that, if BGT-Weidu does include Yacomo's Worldmap, than BoneHill is NOT compatible with BGT-Weidu because it would break the map you just installed. However, installing Worldmap mod would fix this.

1) This file you need to extract and overwrite TSv60 extracted files. Contains a new .tp2 among other things. Good that you are not using 6.01 or 6.02, they will not work.
2) No it is not necessary. KD would say 'You would want it'
3) No, although with 6) possibly yes. Install it very last.
4) No. Not for BP-BGT-WeiDU at all.
5) SBT is not compatible because it is included in a different incarnation in BGT-WeiDU
6) Possibly, but never tried. There may be problems with area and creature renaming so some things might be broken. The BP issue I am even less clear about. Can't help you with that one, unfortunately, but I have an inkling that you shouldn't need to uninstall them.

Finally, Yacomo's worldmap is NOT included in BGT-WeiDU, only his lovely icons. This is a download size issue.

There's a post by KD in the BGT-Weidu Bug report (or in its release topic) stating a 99% compatible combination of huge mods. I don't know where exactly. But I remember he included SoBH, DSotSC and NTotSC as being compatible, just having to install Yacomo's Worldmap after all of them. Of course KD knows better.

I noticed that too. ;) However, where can I get TS 6.0? On the mirror I only find 6.02.

DSotSC will only work if you don't install TDD.

Yes, that is bad. It probably doesn't exist anymore.

DSotSC will only work if you don't install TDD.

In the words of Pelltar, "Okay I'll bite", why don't the two work together? I don't remember anyone else mentioning this.

It might have to do with TDD changing the LONG_BOW to MAGE_ALL in class.ids

To solve this problem before installing TDD open the file setup-TDD.tp2 in notepad. Then search for LONG_BOW. You should find where TDD changes class.ids. Put // in front of the line with LONG_BOW and the line above.

So change

COPY_EXISTING ~CLASS.IDS~ ~override/CLASS.IDS~
REPLACE_TEXTUALLY ~202 LONG_BOW~ ~202 MAGE_ALL~

to

//COPY_EXISTING ~CLASS.IDS~ ~override/CLASS.IDS~
//REPLACE_TEXTUALLY ~202 LONG_BOW~ ~202 MAGE_ALL~

This will allow other mods to install after TDD.

I have attached the tp2 file from DSotSC with store STO3201 patching commented out as it's not used in BGT-WeiDU so adding items to it is not needed. It might mean you don't get a few spells and and a want but it's not a big loss. As always remove the .txt extension and overwrite the tp2 file that is in your BGII directory.

PS: SirBillyBob I know that you are the creator of DSotSC and if you have any problems with the fix I put on here so DSotSC can install on BGT-WeiDU let me know and I will remove the file.

Ok so i installed everything written on the list except tortured souls was v6.02 and i have sucessfully started a bg1, bg2 & tob game without any problems....

i) When/why should i expect the game to crash because TSv602 isn't compatible?
ii) Why is 'favourite game' startup music for the game and how can i change/remove it??
iii) Generally speaking can i restore the orginal menu music? it is just really bugging me and spoiling the atmosphere.

Fine by me.

So basically, the DSotSC isn't compatible because TDD trashes the classes and DSotSC adds to a store that doesn't exist anymore. Correct?

You should not be able to install it at all, because of a parse error with musiclist.2da. (???)

Were you able to install it?

Installed it fine, played it for a bit to check that everything was ok. Seems to be alright, infact better than the old version ....except for that damn music.
I still have yet to attempt any of the TS related material besides teaming up with Kachiko so it may still mess up.

I did veer from the instructions slightly by adding 'TSv60bifferv2-fixed' over the top of TSv6.02, i figured that might make it work ....guess it did.

I assume the few discrepencies i am seeing are a result of not having 'The Big Picture': like kits not showing up in BGI (no charming rogue, or priestess of shar) and minsc not being a 'Rasheman Berserker' in either game.

EDIT: besides BGINTRO & WRECK i don't seem to be seeing any movies from bg1(ie. friendly arm, beregost, nashkel)

I once had that problem playing Tutu. I recall that, when installing BG1, even if u do a full install, not all the movies are copied into the movies folder. Do it manually (copy-paste from each CD) and then reinstall. But I'd wait for an expert's answer b4 doing a renistall.

Deleted the lot & reinstalled the lot. Now seems to be working fine.

Yes Arturcic my BG1 installation was missing the movies files... more bizarly it didnt recognise that i had TotSC installed. Normal for the movies not to be installed from a cd or a side effect of BGT?

Movies will not be installed if you select "Full". You have to select "Custom" and from that screen, select everything. For some reason, a Full install is really a semi-full install.

But i always do the custom install with bg1 thats why the movies not showing up doesnt make any sense, i mean only having bg opening & balduran logbook instead of nothing or all movies. what happened.

I haven't played through TS yet to see if it does work, but i warped to some of the maps and they seemed fine. I'm just playing through wating for it to crash since it shouldn't be working at all.

@Ascension64: "Wait for someone, I suppose" was a big help! :P
