Mwhahaha, you thought you had heard the last of me, but I think I have a couple more bugs:

1. Drizzt doesn't seem to have the Scimitar +5, Defender anymore, I was only able to pick pocket the Scimitar +3 before it said "Target has no items."

2. Bassilus: As soon as he turned red, all his skeletons and zombies died. I'm asumming they were supposed to attack me, because he died in two hits and didn't even remotely stand a chance on his own.

3. I don't know why, but a couple of no name buildings in BG one map east of the house with the stone-beast (I'm too tired to try to spell it) and the iron throne causes my game to crash for no apparant reason.

4. In the building the basilisk is in (aka the stone-beast, no idea if I spelt that right), the guards appear when you start looting the place. I'm pretty sure this is a bug as it's abandoned, no one can see you, and common you killed a basilisk, whoever owns the stuff can go turn to stone.

5. Along the same lines as number 4, running out of the building seemed to fix the guards, as they did not follow me outwards (was hasted though so they never caught up to chat).

6. My Archer (Ranger->Archer) killed the boss at the bottom of the Cloakwood mines in 3 hits, singlehandedly. I don't know if this is a bug for him to be so weak or if I just like bragging about my awesome characters, but might be worth looking into, I always thought he put up a bit of a fight.

7. When returning to the ankheg region around like 5-7, it is CONSIDERABLY harder. No more did I fight single ankhegs, instead I kept running into 2-4 at a time, usually 4. I don't know if this is intentional to make things harder, but damn, you try to rest and you have to send in the fighter with -8 ar to slaughter them while everyone else cowers away with fatigue.

And that's about it for this 1:40 AM post.

GN All, lemme know what you think!

1.  Drizzt doesn't seem to have the Scimitar +5, Defender anymore, I was only able to pick pocket the Scimitar +3 before it said "Target has no items."

Well that's because he wields them in his Gloves! Well, he does have them, but maybe the gloves are inaccessible. Just for your information, his +3 is apparently wielded by his amulet!!! :devil: Also, I don't believe that he should be able to be pickpocketed anyway...comments on this?

2.  Bassilus:  As soon as he turned red, all his skeletons and zombies died.  I'm asumming they were supposed to attack me, because he died in two hits and didn't even remotely stand a chance on his own.

They all die if Bassilus says "No! They lived, all of them! I saved them and they live! I...I ran. Dead...all dead. It isn't true! It cannot be...You lie! You will die for slighting my memory!"
It's in the game and is supposed to happen. Good work for choosing the right dialogue choices

3.  I don't know why, but a couple of no name buildings in BG one map east of the house with the stone-beast (I'm too tired to try to spell it) and the iron throne causes my game to crash for no apparant reason.

Can you give ARxxxx refs and maybe x,y coords? You need Debug Mode=1 in baldur.ini to enable cheats, then hover mouse cursor to about where you are pointing. Press x and information should appear in the status box. Cheers.

Awww...you never know. 'Hide in Shadows' is pretty sneaky. I believe this is also in BG1, so I'll tag it and leave it to the fixpack guys to do.

5.  Along the same lines as number 4, running out of the building seemed to fix the guards, as they did not follow me outwards (was hasted though so they never caught up to chat).

The guards will never follow you out of the building, which is an annoying exploit, yes, but can't do much unless they already talked to you and gone hostile.

Are you playing straight BGT-WeiDU? Maybe your guys are just uber-1337-h8x0rz!!!!!11! :lol: Definitely not a bug.

Now, how do you get AC -8? This is spawn system thing, that is kind of juiced. With your uber d00ds, it shouldn't be a problem anyway. Then I again, when I played through it, it was manageable, just use tactics.

I didn't see this issue mentioned on this thread, so here it is:

Upon returning 1 or more ankheg shells to the smith in Beragost, I'm given the option to sell it to him. If I decline, what is supposed to happen is the option to have it made into a suit of armor for 4000gp. I didn't have the gold at the time, so I clicked on the decline option and the dialog ended abruptly. I tried one of the other dialog options (the "you must be out of your mind" option) and one of the dialog options in red text was displayed at the bottom of the dialog window where the CONTINUE or END DIALOG button is. After this weirdness, I checked my journal and it said that the smith was making me a suit of ankheg armor that would be ready in a tenday. Just to verify that this was simply a journal error, I came back 10+ days later and he had no new dialog options. In fact, I no longer have the option to sell ankheg shells or have them made into armor. He thinks he already performed that action.

This is on a clean BGT weidu .99b3 install with no other mods. I can provide exact text if needed.

PS I've seen a lot of items being fixed on this thread. Any idea when there will be a new build we can try out besides 0.99b3?

Thanks for all the hard work!

I had the same problem with the ankheg shells/armor. I just picked the one up in Nashkel's farmlands (TABbing feels like a cheat in BG1 :D ).

Talking to Minsc with Imoen far away from the PC got him in the party without need for a CTRL+Q (same thing happens with PC and Imoen far away). However, his soundset is screwed up (anyway to fix this? I'm getting tired of the strange Quayle/other soundset he has... still a very minor point though) and he still stutters. Tried resting, that doesn't work. I'm guessing this has something to do with him being ported over from the BG1 portion (my party was the standard good PC, Imoen, Khalid, Jaheira, Minsc, Dynaheir) rather than having an entirely new character created. I'll make a save and then go back and try out starting a new SoA game to see if I can get a non-stuttering Minsc.

Well, same problem with the "New BG2 Game" option. The only difference is Minsc has the right soundset. However, he still stutters (I noticed he and Jaheira get quest experience in this case... in my continuous game, they weren't getting that XP... probably meant to be this way, since the straight BG2 characters have less XP than the ones brought through the entirety of BG1). Jaheira's soundset is correct, which is weird because it wasn't in BG1. I'm assuming this has something to do with a new .CHA file because her romance can now begin?

Oh, and for reference, here are the variables and their values with Minsc through S-Keeper.

BP_MINSCLEFTBG1=1
MINSC=2155909
MINSCALIVE=1
MINSCIMPORT=1
MINSCPARTYBG1=1
MINSCXPCHECKDONE=1
VP_IMOEN_MINSC=14798336
HELPMINSC=2

I deleted his XPCheck from his affects tab. Checking to see if this works...

Didn't work. Nor does CRTL+J'ing, so it looks like Minsc is gonna have to get booted unless this stuttering is solved.

They may be one of or the best weapons in BG1, but they should still be theftable. In BG1 I always stole both of them.

2.  Bassilus:  As soon as he turned red, all his skeletons and zombies died.  I'm asumming they were supposed to attack me, because he died in two hits and didn't even remotely stand a chance on his own.

Woot I rock!

3.  I don't know why, but a couple of no name buildings in BG one map east of the house with the stone-beast (I'm too tired to try to spell it) and the iron throne causes my game to crash for no apparant reason.

I'll give this a shot next time I'm in that area. Once again this could have something to do with playing in multiplayer (which is still working great fyi).

Awww...you never know. 'Hide in Shadows' is pretty sneaky. I believe this is also in BG1, so I'll tag it and leave it to the fixpack guys to do.

Maybe that's supposed to happen with the guards, but if so, why didn't they kill the damn basilisk? Other than I like the 7k.

5.  Along the same lines as number 4, running out of the building seemed to fix the guards, as they did not follow me outwards (was hasted though so they never caught up to chat).

The guards will never follow you out of the building, which is an annoying exploit, yes, but can't do much unless they already talked to you and gone hostile.

Meh, nothing to reply to this.

Are you playing straight BGT-WeiDU? Maybe your guys are just uber-1337-h8x0rz!!!!!11! :lol: Definitely not a bug.

I'm not h8x0rz, but I am uber-1337. It sounds like that mage has at most 60 hp (which is reasonable for a mage, but still weak on his own). My archer usually 10-15 damage I think, so if he crit he could have done up to 30, maybe more. Initially I thought it was a bug, because one second I'm firing an arrow, and the next second I'm in the next chapter thinking I stumbled on some bug, but instead it was his corpse, mwahaahaha.

I will use some tactics! 4 ankhegs isn't too bad, it's just when no one has any spells and everyone is at half health or less and you're trying to rest and get attacked by 4 :P But yes, my uber-1337 party may be forced to head back there to kick some ass!

Oops, forgot to address the AC -8 thing, first off that was a mistake on my part, it's only -6 (it would be -8 if I had gotten Drizzt's other sword grrr :P). Secondly, I've had my armor as low as -10 in BG1 (not BGT), although that was with a little hex-editting to get myself the perfect suit of armor. I believe it involved full plate, cloak of protection +2, scimitar +5 defender, large shield +1, +4 vs. missiles, and something else. Oh right, 25 dex lol, it's all coming back to my now. (I was young and cheap at the time, moreso than now.)

Ok, found one more bug: if you equip boots of speed, then equip the ring of free action, the hasted effect remains. However if you take the boots off and put them back on, the hasted effect does not reapply. Then if you take the ring off, the haste still stays off until you re-equip the boots.

Who told you that? Bioware technical support guy? I absolutely disagree... :)

Drizzt must be absolutely dumb and out of his drow mind not to notice that his belowed weapon disappeared suddenly right from his hand after you told him some useless text...

About anckheg shell. I think the mod version that Acsension64 is in private posession of solves that... ;) :P

Drizzt super uber though, he is surrounded by gnolls, and for all he knows he dropped his weapon in the process of fighting, so he continues by beating the shit out of the other guys with his bare fists. You just helped him, so he knows you didn't take his weapon, so he wanders around checking corpses while you hightail it out of there and he decides that some gnoll stole it and ran away, so he starts tracking more gnolls and leaves the area. There, its all perfectly balanced!

If it makes you feel any better, make it so stealing the scimitar +5, defender takes like 200 pickpocket, then you will atleast need to be partially uber to pull it off.

I agree. If you want to 'win', then prove you can KILL Drizzt for those items. No, not the Ctrl+Y way...

More on the other bugs later.

The guy that meet you after Nashkel mines and should try to kill ya just say his dialog but didnt attack. However i gotta mention that he talked not to protagonistm but to another teammate(another person actually, it was multiplayer) and prot was inside the shop nearby. SO after that he had his blind and was killed. The funny thing is that even when blinded he didnt turn hostile. Only after 1st sucessful hit.

You want uber cheese? Go install Exnem Items. Drizzt's swords aren't even close to that power.

Let me tell you this. If you want Scimitar +5, CLUAConsole it in, SW1H16. I am not going to ramble on about the fact that you hex-edited the DEX and items of your character/s as well, so don't ask me to go into it. Besides, think about the actual bugfix. If I was to fix DRIZZT.CRE, I would place the Scimitar +3 and Simitar +5 in his WEAPON SLOTS. That means you can't pickpocket him at all. No go. This is not a cheat forum, and this is not a bug, because original BG1 had the same bug (i.e. they should be in weapon slots), and I will state clearly now that I will not change this.

Finally, I believe this is starting to clutter up the topic a little, so I hereby ask that further comments about this be abstained from.

New build will take a while, no ETA for a while either. I'm a busy man.

Talking to Minsc with Imoen far away from the PC got him in the party without need for a CTRL+Q (same thing happens with PC and Imoen far away). Finally got to check this one out. Looks like you have a compatibility issue on your hands. NEW BG2 GAME and IMPORTATION are both fine for me.

Ascension, Longer Road, Item Upgrades, and Underrepresented Items.

Does anyone have an idea of what modifies Minsc out of these mods that primetime posted?
