Meh, I still liked Atton.

Mandalore was cool, too.

Yep, he's been in both games as well.

Hmm... somehow Atton was like Carth in KotOR 1... well, I liked Carth better anyhow.

Yea... They were both identically hard at first, but in time subdued to Revan/The Exile. I like Carth, but think of Atton as more or less of a copy, the only difference being his shady past.

I like HK-47 and Mission much better.

I think it's a tradition to have one locked-up character who has had some bads in his past, and blah blah... and then they either betray the main character or become the most loyal ally.

I know, but let me explain better:

Atton and Carth seemed as the regular badpast types: Hard, difficult to read and so on. Carth presented us with something new when it turned out he was a whiner! Yes sir, a whiner! He almost cried... When Atton followed the exact same process, I mean, not exactly original was it?

No, that wasn't original at all. But as stated earlier, Atton wasn't planned to be in, so he's just the kind of a filler type you'd expect.

Fair 'n' square :)

*SPOILER*

Go back, or you will get infomation about the game! Oh no!

You were warned!

Yeah, Mandalore was cool. Especially because they didn't stray to far from the original Canderous.

Wonder if he's going to be in KotOR III? Rising a mandalorian rebel army somewhere in the galaxy...

Of course he is. The KotOR series will eventually end up with the mandalorians killing everything and everyone, and then they will re-build a new jedi-order, consisting only of mandalorians!

Way sneaky! :D Seriously tho, is there any SW lore around about what happened to the Mandalorians? Did they go extinct by the time of orig. SW or what? If they didn't, I'm guessing that Jango Fett could be a one.

He could I guess. I only played p&p Starwars, games and saw the movies, I never actually read any of the stuff, so.

Read this article from the Starwars Wiki. (Yes, there is one ) It contains more information about the fictional Star Wars universe than any sane person would want to know.

Hey, what's with the SW bashing all the time? I think Star Wars rocks. And besides Lucas made really good small productions like Labyrinth with David Bowie.

I agree. It's his movie. Jsut because I'm a fan, that doesn't give me the right to tell him how to make a movie. I can critisice him, sure, but to get mad at him is at little over the edge

But making fun of it is okay I guess :)

Better than Star Wars fan-bashing. :fish:
Sorry. But you did set yourself up for that one.
Kinda. ^_^

As a Star Wars fan you should remember the
Jedi Code
(There is no emotion...) :P

I think Star Wars rocks.

Star Wars does not rock: for at least one big reason. Now I may be biased in this, but in my opinion, anything with even a remotely Binks-like character is bound to be a flop.
Examples:
Neverwinter Nights (both expansions): Deekin
Baldurs Gate II: Throne of Bhaal: Cespenar

Possible Explanation: Introducing a big-eyed, whiny, spineless, slovenly, subservient, blabbering idiot of a character is a sign of desperation/lack of creativity with which the creator/director hopes to distract the audience/player from the myriad of flaws riddling the work. But that's just my opinion. :P

And besides Lucas made really good small productions like Labyrinth with David Bowie.

Not going to argue with you there, THX 1138 was a fine piece of work.

One cockup doesn't make all the films bad. Phantom Menace wasn't the best ever. But all the other movies were entertaining, and that's what's Starwars is for me: Entertainment.

And by the way, Cespenar was great! Don't you dare say otherwise! ;)

[Intimidation: Success] Of course, whatever you say. I won't say "otherwise," why should I be utterly (other)-foolish enough to say "otherwise." Otherwise, you probably would that I otherwise wouldn't like. :Poke:

The presence of a Binks-like character is not the cause of a movie/game/work to be a "cockup," but merely a symptom of being a "cockup." I am merely stating the high correlation between the presence of a Binks-like character in a piece of work and the likelyhood that the piece of work qualifies as a "cockup." (As well as offering a possible explanation to this phenomenon.) ;)

The presence of the character Jar-Jar-Binks in all three of the prequels is not the cause, but merely a sign that all three qualify as "cockups."
For example, had one not seen the original trilogy and known nothing of Star Wars before exposure to these "prequels," one would realize that the characters were barely developed and few have even a two dimensional quality to them.
I will provide more evidence to support the three prequels' status of being "cockups" should you require it. ^_^

Well, we don't agree here. For example, many people think the lighsaber-fighting-four-armed droid a bad idea, but for me, Starwars is entertainment. The more entertaining, the more Starwars. Starwars has never felt big and serious to me, so if a Starwars movie entertains me, it's good, because I don't expect much more than to be entertained in that special "Starwars" fashion.

Starwars is being made to be something very serious, especially by its fans these days, when in fact, it is all but that. The only serious point in the Starwars movie is comparing Anakin to Bush, and that's very vague. Wake up. Starwars is about having fun, not learning alot. You're not watching "A Beautiful Mind" or somesuch.

Thanks for the link, Quiet Lurker. Jango was mandalorian after all. Well, the rest of this seems to be going a bit off the topic... let's just cut this here and not abuse the Replying to Query: How to fix HK47-thread anymore. :D

As for Jango being a mandalorian, thats almost 4k years in the future when "mandalorian" is just mercs. If you've played SW: Bounty Hunter (not the best game, but what SW game is besides kotor?) it shows he was party of a mercenary team, they all died, all that. Anyways, somewhere in TSL Kreia states that in time all that will be left of the mandalorians is their honor.

Back on topic, to fix HK-47, with 0 repair points currently, you either need some very good items to boost the skill and the attribute (wisdom or intelligence, whichever gives bonuses to repair, cant remember atm) and even then, I doubt you'll be able to get all of the memories/upgrades (there's 3). If you really want to see them all, I'd suggest starting a new game.

Knowledge is power. Power Corrupts. Study Hard. Be evil.

Minsc: You do not seem like a Sarevok to me. Too much humble, not enough "RARRRRGH, Feel my unholy rage."

Just one off-topic post more here, just have to remind you of Republic Commando, which actually is a good SW game. B)
