So just a few days (or has it been about a week now?) back I got an email from the Spellhold Studios staff telling me about the relocation/grand opening. I've been way out of the BG modding loop for over a year now ... and I'm actually very glad to see you all still alive, well, kicking, and seemingly prolific.
Like I said, I'm way out of the loop and thus not too up to date on what's been happening (and I wonder how many folks here even remember me?), so I figured I should poke my head in, say hi, see what's up. I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss the whole BG modding arena.
Congrats on the new site and whatnot.
And uh, if I may weigh in on an apparently contentious topic... I like the new brown look.

Some of us do. I even made them an offer on the Allies From the Shadows forum during the "Lost Our Lease, Everything Must Go!" sale, but nobody really seemed to get the joke/find it funny.

At least people in the IE community actually care about their community and just tend to differ over the policies of its various messageboards; over there, large numbers of people seem to be actively trying to destroy every part of that game's community which doesn't directly involve themselves and their cronies.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that the IE community is actually pretty great place to be involved with; even the arguments here are normally over issues which are actually important, and usually don't get all that personal or obnoxious... and believe me, some stuff I've just been called and accused of isn't even worth repeating, and would certainly be worthy of permanent bans here (not over there though, apparently). My opinion of several people here has just improved in a matter of hours through no action of their own - I love you guys .

As of this Sunday, any banners that still read "Forgotten Wars" on them will be removed from the PPG banner rotation.
A very generous camelid went ahead and fixed them all up. However, if anybody would like them changed, you can still send them my way.

By "fixed, " JC means I simply deleted the "Hosted at Forgotten Wars" frames, except in the case of Hubelpot. I went ahead and did a Spellhold Studios replacement frame for that one because of the ad layout.
I'm content for the artists to shriek at me over my editing. I don't want to kill these pointers to Studios mods indefinitely, nor do I want to persist hawking an old forum identity when you are establishing a new one. I think this is the best measure until interested modders arrange for ad replacements.

Not only are female redheads frequently lovely but theirs is a loveliness that suggests both lust and danger, pleasure and violence, and is, therefore, to the male of the species virtually irresistible. Red O red were the tresses of the original femme fatale. Tom Robbins

Sounds logical to me. Dead misinformed banners is just as bad as dead links.Okay, if you're not going to handle it centrally...

That is reassuring.
Man oh man, it looks like it's time for me to catch up on this here scene. I've been doing so for the better part of the day and I'm still finding mods 'n' developments 'n' stuff I hadn't known about.

And I think this is better than any other half-baked wannabe cheap immitation spilling similar information onto the web.
Oh dear. Are those villains at "Smellhold Snudios" at it again?

Grow up.
how come you always look so damn cool in every photo I see you in?!?
Speaking of modding, I listened to IER 3 yesterday, so you can have another quote for your signature: how come you sound so damn cool, as well as look it? It's unfair. Seriously.
Still a cyberjock, still hacking the matrix, still unsure of what that means.

Making a joke about spam e-mail is trolling? Please, you might not get the reference, but let's try to get past the knee-jerk assumptions that everything is an insult.*sigh* Oh dear, the trolls are at it again.
