I am thinking of starting to write a Halforc Cleric NPC mod, and id just like to hear some opinions first. I have a basic idea that this orc's character (probably male) will be vain to the point of being self obsessed, obsessed with cleanliness (strange for an orc i know, i thought this would make for an interesting character) selfish, harsh towards those with weak characters yet admires those with strong personalities, jealous of Anomen but eventually strikes up an unlikely friendship with him, hes is a very poor listener (prefering to change the topic of conversation to himself), he doesnt like the sight of blood (prefering to look away as he heals other characters), respectful of other religions but doesnt understand druids, he doesnt interact with Minsc much because he finds his love for Boo sinister, argues frequently with Korgan, ignores jaheira because of her druid status, which develops into inter-party difficulties if Cernd (or CHARNAME) and Jaheira are together to back each other up, suggests Valygar to clean himself up a little, as for other character interactions, i will think of more as i begin :)

A lot of the above may change.... im always changing my mind!

I have not written a character history yet, this idea is still on the drawing board so to speak

Character atrributes i havent really thought out yet, but rest assured he wont be another overpowered NPC!!! I want people to choose to have him in their parties because hes interesting and a good healer rather than because hes better than other clerics.

I always wanted a half-orc NPC, im a advocate of non-human races!
If anyone has any advice/criticisms/whatever, i would be glad to hear it!

Well, I see you've avoided an overpowered character, and a sickly popularity :D ! Well done, not many people do thatfirst time, more's the pity. As long as you don't make your character (name?) too arrogant, like Anomen at first. that would be cool.

The vanity and cleanliness are far from racial stereotypes of half-orcs, though. Do you have an explanation for this?

Which alignment and deity would you choose?

There is a female Half-orc Cleric mod in the making by Dunxco at CoM.

[edit] Or at least he claimed he will do so after the other NPC idea of him, might be nice to talk together

Still modding the Mod for the Wicked... It is a big project you know... And I got sidetracked (several times) a bit... sorry.

Kat: if there were more guys that looked like you out here, people's offspring wouldnt be so damn ugly
Noctalys: you are adorable :P

The last time I counted CoM alone had some 19 NPC mods in production, there is bound to be some overlap with only so many races/classes available.

Myself I would like to see more dwarves/gnomes/halflings done well but these races don't seem to be favourites with modders.

Half-orc's are good though! A custom cleric kit with some orcish deity would be nice too...
