Since I've been reading the forums at Forgotten Wars, I've seen quite a few people come and go, as is life. So it got me wondering; what is the makeup of people who still regularly check up on the Valen Expansion?

It's been many moons since I announced my start of the project on Jan 8, 2004 and I know that's quite a while for people to wait. With all the comings and goings of people in this forum, I wonder who still patiently frequents this forum looking for news of a release.

For those of you who have been waiting a while and have given me encouragement along the way, I thank you for your patience and continued interest. I press on with this project to completion, mainly for you, because you deserve it. I hope your patience continues for a while longer, and the final product exceeds your expectations.

Slow, but steady, wins the race.

Take your time, Thorium - quality wins out over expediency any time in my book, and the way this mod looks so far means it will be worth the wait.

Since April-June 2004. I've not posted here often, but I've kept my eye on this particular corner of FW. Keep up the good work. :thumb: ^_^

I'm a BG veteran but only seriously began playing mods for about a year now. I have just begun with Valen now and I really like her as an addition to my party.
I can't wait to see what YOU will do with her. I saw some of your progress reports and I am intrigued!
I'm not one of those people who will nitpick something to pieces. After all, BG is a GAME and meant to be fun. I don't take it all that seriously; I mean as far as arguing with people in forums or criticising an author. I really appreciate that people like you, ThoriumDragon, put so much into a mod for others to enjoy. I won't overphilosophize or make mountains out of molehills but just play and see what happens! Don't let naysayers bother you. Do what you like and if someone doesn't want Valen your way, as you and others have said, then they don't have to download her!
Keep up the good work! I can't wait to see the finished product! :D

I don't usually play evil characters, but every once in a while I let loose and wreak havoc. Although this is the first time I post here, I've checked in on it every so often. I'd say I've been waiting close to a year. Somehow Weimer's version seems incomplete. The most valuable thing about a npc mod, in my opinion, is extended interaction between <CHARNAME> and said npc- regardless whether the interaction is romantic or not.

When I found out about this particular mod I was intrigued. A year and a half has come and gone, but I?m still patiently waiting because I think it?s worth the wait. :thumb:

Since around August of 2004. I'm a lurker around these parts, but I am still very interested. I think this mod will be worth the wait.

Hey great! ... Looks like I finally managed to log on to the correct forum!

(ehm, your pm actually helped Thorium Dragon)

Well, bear with me but I have to say it...
You forgot an entry in the poll...

(pm me if you want to share something. Writer's block is not fun, this silly bard knows something about that!)

It was around the end of January 04 when i noted the mod in question, i'm not around much either and this is my first post since June 04 so it's been a looooooooooonnnnngggggg time since i was last here.

I've been hiding in WoW and dealing with other things of a more personal nature...(way too long to go into)

But it would be nice to see it done i guess :whistling:

a shadow on the planes,
A whisper true, a song to you,
my lovers soul refrains...

Hmm, about 3-4 years now, I think. I actually haven't used the original mod and since I found the feature list of this one so interesting I have been holding it off until I can get the full experience.

I'm on my way though BG1 right now with a char suited having Valen as a companion. Of course, no knowing how long off the release is, this is plain preparatory gaming. :) Anyways, I'd like to say thanks for the work already done and good luck with what is remaining. I'll be here to play it when it's done.

I appreciate your patience, but I wouldn't recommend holding off on a replay on my account if you want to play the original.
