Hi,

I have read the feature thread and nothing like that is in there so here is the idea

Changing the paper doll
I was really annoyed while playing the original Valen that her doll was just the one of a common thief, even when she becomes a mature vampire/vampire matriarch.

So here is the idea :
When Valen is just a fledgling no change of paper doll (Still the hand looking like the dagger, if it hasn't already been corrected of course.)= Freshly changed mostly human at this stage
When Valen becomes a mature vampire : replacing her doll with the generic female vampire.
When Valen becomes a matriarch : the one used by Bhodi at first unless it is possible to make a custom one, perhaps based on Bhodi's if someone can do it?

Advantage:
At last a character really looking like a vampire

Inconvenient:
Where is my helmet/armor/ weapon/ animation?=> don't care ^^

All this stuff looks great, and I'm really looking forward to this mod. :) One small thing, though. I've noticed with some mod NPCs that BG2 becomes "Shadows of Amn starring NPC X." No matter how good the character, it's still irritating, to say the least. I've always felt that too many quests/interjections added to the idea of an NPC "taking over" a game. So is there any chance of a "Behave yourself/be quiet, Valen" to cut down on interjections and the like? Or maybe randomize some of it, so not all of the expansion's content takes place in one game? That way, some players wouldn't feel overloaded by new content, and replaying it would be more interesting, as there would be content they hadn't seen before. Just a thought.
And the mirror, it reflects a tiny dancing skeleton, surrounded by a fleshy overcoat and swaddled in

As the content kept piling up, I decided that the interjections will be randomized due to their volume and to add replay value, with an install option for all dialog for those who want to drink from the Valen fire hose.

I believe that the NPC should compliment the main character and story, but this is a challenge for such an unusual character as Valen.

These are some good ideas. If you really want the vampire avatars you can change them yourself with a game editor or using the console.

Hexxat don't want to make Dorn or my character an vampire. But Valen is totally different personality, so I propose that vampire characters (or only Valen) can gain new ability "Turn to vampire". When party member is affected, he becames "vampire" by race, gaining vampire claws (VAMPT06 I use in EE Keeper, for example), Korkorran Cloak and VAMPREG1 ring. If Korkoran Cloak is not dressed in outdoors at day, sun will deal fire damage to NPC.

Maybe this is not a place for this proposition, but i suggest to give player possibility to not kill Bodhi vampires after Underdark, but to gain vampire stronghold.

If player is vampire by race or Valen is in party, when meeting Bodhi at the gates of graveyard player must demand Lanthorn and vampire stronghold.

So after defeating Bodhi (and not killing any vampires in coffins) vampire tomb alone with whole vampire pack will be restored. Only dialogues changed and some of vampires will became merchants (Meredath for scrolls and portions, for example).

I suggest also a possibility to not kill Bodhi with stake, but instead after defeating her propose her a place in party (but this must be another mod maybe).

These are good suggestions. However, the Valen character is very much a lone-wolf and has little interest in establishing a vampire coven or leadership in general.

 

However, she could develop some contacts within the vampire world as the game's story moves on.
