I've played CRPGs since the dawn of time, and I have never played a game as full of bugs as IWD2, jesus. But every bug, as a last resort, can be conquered with a bit of patching and a re-install. But not IWD2, ooooh noooo...

It's been awhile since I last played, because I gave up when the bugs finally was enough. But here is the main bug that made me stop:

At the part where you had to use the wyvern stingers and other stuff and put it into the wells, it worked fine, the water changed color, but the door still wouldn't open...

*PATCHING*... Not fixed.

*RE-INSTALL*... Not fixed.

*RE-INSTALL*, *NEW GAME*... Not fixed.

Anyone who can help me here? Waiting for BGIII, KotOR3 and DLTC I have to do something, might as well pick up IWDII again, but I don't want to run into the same bugs.

Thx :thumb:

The exact same happened to me, until somebody told me to keep resting until it opened and it worked.

I dont know if this will solve your problem, but it worked for me.

What door do you mean? In the cavern area with the wells there is one room where a door is opened only every 24 in game hours or something. If your thief is skilled enough he can detect the door mechanism and open the door, though. Otherwise you'll have to wait...

No idea what the door has to do with the wells though. Does changing the water colour result in anything at all? It didn't for me, I never understood this "quest".

After helping the wizard with the histachii fixation, you should be able to change the wyvern stings to potions that you put into the baskets.

And use your thief to find a little switch to open a wall off to the left of the fake doors.

This part isn't buggy, just complicated.

I don't mean to be rude, but you people can't be accusing the game of bugginess just because of your incompetence.

Sometimes you can get useful hints from walkthroughs from www.gamefaqs.com. That is what they are meant for.

Hr Hrm. Rude, yes. As I said, I came to that stop twice, and i read five or some walkthroughs each time and it got me nowhere.

Read into it what you want.

Are you sure you put them in all the wells? I had a bit of trouble finding the last one... I think there are four.
