KOTOR for sale for the highest bidder...

I have never ever been good at this kind of games, I always got killed in Decent 1, and never bothered much with it after I found out that my fingers just wont keep up with everything and my eyes just can't see what they are supposed to see to keep me alive. And if I'll have to learn to play such games only to be able to continue KOTOR, I am not pleased at all. I want to enjoy my gaming experience and not to go over one and zillion times some turret shooting scene to be able to do so.
Aren't there really any cheats I could use to jump over this darn thing? I didn't find any while searching over all those cheat sites for the game, nor anything from the Bioware discussion board either. Everyone just seem to expect that everyone is willing to learn how to do this, and that everyone is ABLE to learn how to do this. Well I have only mouse and keyboard to use and my motor skills aren't that great, in fact they are a disaster! That is why I paly RPGs on computer, and not any other kind of games. I guess I should never ever have purchased KOTOR, I should have found out beforehand that there are sections in it I am not able to cope with. Now I am forced to stop to play the game because of that totally unnecessary peace of carbage.
Sorry guys but I am pissed off.
Yeah, and this was about leaving from Tarsis scene where you are supposed to shoot those fighters to zillion pieces, unless someone didn't guite get it.

Besides, I have managed to get at least 4 of them down, and still they seem to keep coming and coming, and the mod text says there is only six of them! I think I need new classes or something, I thought there were dozens. Time alwys runs out on me in it.

The enemy fighters break off into 2 main groups usually, but use your radar to track the biggest cluster and take them down in two heats. Takes a bit of practice, but you can practice with HK-47 anytime you want.
In both my games I noticed that my screen goes blurry after leaving the Leviathan, which makes it very hard to see these fighter craft as you make your escape. This is when I learned the value of using the radar.
Remember, forget looking out the window, because 9 times out of 10 you'll get blinded by the bright star on your screen.

I know this is probably an old topic, but for those who have trouble with this mini-game, a bit of advice: use your radar.
There is a radar?
Well this just shows how blind one can be, and I have already almost finished the game. Yep, and ignored HK's help totally, in fact didn't even remember I could practise with him. I have managed pretty well though with the mod which gives a bit more time to blast them all out. Usually there is only two left to track after I have managed to get the rest right in the start.
But I have to try that radar thing...

But while this solves the problem, it removes a vital part of the game at the same time.
I wonder if this would bring any measure of satisfaction to anyone...
but it continues to be a trend...for example, you can bypass minigames in kotor 2, and in jade empire...

While I really don't want to argue, I cannot accept your opinion here. Not sad at all, because I get stomach aches every time I have to leave some planet and I think there might be those fighters.
That "mini-game" is a vital part of the game, not something that is for the player to decide. Following your logic, I could say that we should remove Malak from KoToR, because I have headaches every time I have to look at him.
I respect your views Briannandoah, but I still think that a game should be played as it is - since that is what makes it a whole. Removing vital parts of it is like ripping several pages from a novel so that it won't have a sad ending - it's just not the same.

I have never bought computer games that mostly reguire the use of fast reflexes, and I never will. Because I wouldn't enjoy them, they just are too hard for me.
And hey, they are JUST games. In my opinion they can be tweaked as much as anyone prefers. I see no problem with that.

Sure, and again, don't get me as offensive or anything - I just find it difficult to accept when people choose the easier paths instead of learning to face a challange.
But when that challenge would prevent you enjoying the game, I dont see why not remove it. As has been said, games are for enjoyment. Some people take pleasure in a challenge, others enjoy them for other reasons - so why not, for those people, make the game easy? Its why most games have dificulty settings.
