A new NPC concept- would need help

It has alway's bothered me that even with all of the mad mans tortures she automatically assumed you were her master and attacks you. Why shouldnt' charismatic, or smart, or wise PC's be able to convince her otherwise- and even get her help in escaping, and leaving the dungeon?
The problem is...I have tried, but stink at programing. I would need somebody willing to program it- I could write the dialouge, the banters, and potentially the love talks if somebody else put them in. I would also need a voice actress and a number of Ideas for flirt/force talk options. Any comments- or desire for such a character?
By the way- sorry if I put this int he wrong forum.

Ok, I had an Idea for a mod tonight, but I do nto know if anybody else would want it- or be willing to help! My idea is for an NPC to become a party member, perhaps romanceable (Early stages of my planning) from Irenicus' dungeon- a character allready in the game. Namely, the clone of Ellisime you meet soon after you do Yoshimo.
*Points to the Chrysta Forum.

Though Chrystia is a nearly identical concept, making my ideas rather moot, it does NOT answer the main question. Heh. Namely- why would charname, if they have high cha/int/wis, be unable to NOT kill the clone?
From my very first BG2 game I disliked having to have my PC kill that clone. She's an abused innocent and I always wished there was some way to save her. The idea of making her a joinable NPC is not a new one. Coincidentally, I was thinking about the possibilities just recently. But, for several reasons, I decided it wouldn't work well. At least, not for my tastes.
One of my reasons against the clone for an NPC is that she *is* a clone. Contrary to bad sci-fi, clones do not (in theory) come out of the tank with personality, skills, and language. Obviously Irenicus had been teaching this particular clone for some time, for she could speak. But otherwise I can't see that she'd be much more than a child -- a very abused one -- in a grown-up's body. Hardly suitable for adventuring. (In my opinion, of course.)
But ... if you can get past the conceptual difficulties, it's not a bad idea. I would certainly take a look if someone made the mod.

That is also the Idea I had- you would effect her alignment through your conversation, and she would end up whatever alignment you wished. Sort of like the Nameless one (Plane scape) She would begin as true nueteral. But, as I said- others have a very similter mod, and I am no good as a modder, or at least coder- I have tried before. and I truely do not know if there would be enough Intrest with Chrystia to do it. Perhaps I should have made a pole. Anybody else have any desire to see it? Heh. I would enjoy the creative challange- but would need a coder, a voice actress, etc.

Besides, I do not like using other peoples work (More than I would). I am pesky that way- I enjoy creating. But, I said last night unless there was intrest I would not step on anybodys toes (Ref: Chrystia) regardless- It is more asking if there is intrest in THAT Idea.

O, so writing for preexisting characters is NOT creating? Such an enjoyable statement. You made my day.

Actually, that would not be the main problem. It is fantasy, not Sci-fi. In 2E D&D. clone is a ninth level Necromancy spell that almost acts as a ressurect, and then she was both tortured and remade by the bastard. ...
True, it's fantasy and 2E. You'd have to explain how he got the cubic inch of flesh from Ellisime for each of the many clones. Maybe Irenicus had a lock of her hair and developed an improved spell that only needed one strand of hair per clone? Then there's the stereotypical cloning tanks ... perhaps they were used instead to keep the numerous clones in stasis, so he could bring one out at a time for his "attentions".
It could be made to work.

Please do not shelve your ideas on my account - you would not be treading on anyone's toes RE: any apparent similarities with Chrysta (she is my mod NPC), as her concept has moved beyond that of a plain clone. But, I said last night unless there was intrest I would not step on anybodys toes (Ref: Chrystia) regardless- It is more asking if there is intrest in THAT Idea.
So good luck with you idea :thumb:

As for the clonign tanks, aye- they were full of 'the same woman, or at least parts of the same woman'. that could mean stasis as much as it could cloaning. Actually, they seem very similer, to me, to the tanks Reilev Et all are in, which would seem more stasis- hmm.
And Ashara- I do mean that my brain works back working with my own work, instead of fan fiction. I have written fan fic before, but it is not as enjoyable as it would be to create- and like I said, I have not read any of the forgoten realms books ETC anyway, so making Ellisime a TOB character would be very difficult to me- I know only that she is a queen of the elves of Sullandsar, and a descendant of Rillfane- that is not enough to continue. So, lets see... a quick scetch of what I was thinking
'ellie' (Temporary name)
Race: Elf/clone
Gender: Female
Class: Sorceress
Starting Level: 6
Strength: 10- a clone, with little experiance and from an elf from the magic
Dexterity: 16- An elf, but with no experiance
Constitution: 12- an elf clone, though born of the gods, been abused many times
Intelligance: 14- knows enough to be a mage, but
Wisdom: 12- Little experiance in the world, but perceptive
Charisma: 15- born/cloned From a very lovely woman, but is unsure what to do in the world, and has few social skills- to begin with.
Profficiancies: Knife, darts
Spells:
Level 1: Protection from evil, Armor, Magic missle, flaming hands, sleep
Level 2: Agannazars scorcher, Mirror Image, Blur
Level 3: Monstor summoning 1
History:
One of a number of clones of the 'mistress', or perhaps in day's gone by wife, of Irenicus, Ellie, as she calls herself, is an innocent in the world- and for the first time in her life- after being created by a terrible and evil spell of Irenicus- she is traveling free. She would never have left on her own- she is unsure what to do, knowing only small amounts, practically, about the world, and will listen to her rescuer, and will travel with you to the end of the world... or beyond.
Ideas:
Possibly romanceable
No special items to begin with at least, likely if romanceable one or two special items to deal with the romance.
No special abilities above her sorcery
probably 1 or two small quests, and/or 1 moderate one
Can be influinced by her rescuers (Charnames) view of the world- will slowly warp to his/her alignment if brought the right way.
anybody interested? Heh. obviously some are...

It is a mistake to equate ignorance to creativity. I write for both original and BioWARE's characters; each and every one of them requires the same dedication, research, ability and effort. Looking at the style of your posts, I have doubts that you are adequatly equipped with any of the four.

As for Dedication, research, and effort, you write a 50 page thesis and say that again, little witch. Learn to have board ettiquite, and if you are so kind, until you do do not reply to my post again. I would rather it be stricken than be insulted.
