I don't remember who Vandar is actually. But according to a quiz I took Yoda's a Greenling.

Vandar is one of the council members in KotOR.

I've always wondered why Yoda speaks that way... I bet he didn't pass elementary school too easy. :P Seriously though, maybe he speaks that way just to get originality status?

Edit: No wait, the little green man is E.T. Darn, who is copying who?

I dont recall E.T. being green. :P I think the reason they had him speak that way originally was he was supposed to be this great jedi master and they just wanted to further show that you cant judge based on first appearances and all that. (He's a green wrinkled elf that can speak english but horrible grammar, what would YOU think upon first meeting him)

Yeah, I guess that's a valid point, the whole training episode in the swamp was kind of a educating story, the point being just that you can't judge a book by its cover, like you said.

Yep, I firmly beleive if they had started with the prequel (and yoda was actually thought of) then he would have had perfect grammar, as everyone already knew he was *THE* jedi master

Yeah, but only because he's the last jedi master. E.g. Yoda agrees in Ep. III that Gui-Gonn is a great jedi master and that he's honored to be tutored by him (the comic book version where the conversation between Yoda and Gui-Gonn's force ghost is shown) because master Jinn managed to live through the force as an ethereal apparation.

*Notes that somehow Anakin/Vader learned to do it w/o any training* (end of EpVI)

There's a theory on how it works, like Gui-Gonn's ghost could support 2 other persons but would be unable to appear or communicate himself, those two persons being Obi-Wan & Yoda... and probably Obi-Wan supporting Anakin/Vader with Yoda, as they all managed to appear... of course, this is just fanzine, as the movies weren't planned that well if we go that far in the specifics.

Ah. Well I agree with the movies not being planned well, *especially* when you see George say that he had originally wrote the whole story (Episodes 1 thro 9) and had always wanted to start in the middle. But then he makes a fool of himself in the prequels and says he wont do 7-9 *burns down skywalker ranch*

a fool of himself in the prequels

Episode I = The worst of the six films, but not bad. It would still be a good, stand-alone film.

Episode II = The 2nd worst of the six films, but not bad. It would still be a good, stand-alone film.

Episode III = The best of the prequels, and handled very well. A good addition to the series.

I always discern too much nostalgicness when speaking to people about Starwars. It seems that these people (not necessarily including you guys, you determine whether you're included or not ;)) wouldn't have liked the prequels no matter what, except if they where done with the same technique (model-spacecrafts etc.) and the same actors.

Heh heh. ;) I like them all, being a fan that I am. Been since I was a kid. Although I won't take it to the levels where I dress like SW characters or something similarly idiotic. :whistling:

I like the prequels, but without episode 3 I would have called the entire prequel trilogy a blight upon humanity. Personally I think that Episode 3 was the 2nd best of all 6 of them (with the best being ESB of course).

I just liked the way Anakin murdering the whole sandpeople tribe was handled.

When you blame the global warming on Bush because he flew his goddam Stardestroyers to close to Earth AGAIN...
When you think that the UN council is the Jedi council, or Sith council(if you are into conspirations)
When you think that the new top fighter jet will be the X-wing, and wait for the U.S to unravel the new AT-AT's
When you think that Lorenzo Lamas in Renegade is actualy Boba Fett in disguise
When you try to translate the noises comming from your computer into english and you also answer them
When you think that some international negotiations went wrong because they lost C3PO
When you are at an exam and keep repeating to yourself "fear leads to the dark sinde"
