I just installed the TDD weiduV1 when I can acrosss an old fix for the TDD worldmap which I remember having problems with the old version of TDD. Now this patch replaced AR2601.BCS and the WORLDMAP.BMP (The files show they were modified in 4/17/03) in the Override folder. My questions is does anyone know if that problem was fixed or if I need to use the "TDDWorldmapFix103A"?

Thanks in advance! :-)

Don't install any "fix" for the old version of TDD on a Weidu version! It isn't going to work and the fix may already be in the Weidu version. Remember that BP and the Weidu version of TDD are both going to have some known fixes for an older mod. If you are going to see about a change to the Worldmap, check with Yacomo to see if he already has the fix in the Worldmap mod.

Sir BillyBob,
I didn't mean I had patched it, only that I wanted to know if that was one of the things that was fixed. But thanks for the warning! :-)
BTW - What worldmap mod? Or are you talking about the TDD weidu version?

Sir BillyBob is referring to my work (see sig). This is the former BP-BGT map containing locations for a large couple of mods including TDD. v3 that will be released shortly will indeed contain one fix for TDD (IIRC reachability of Eshpurta). I cannot tell you however which fixes made it into this map during the last years since I took the map over only a couple of weeks ago.
If can verify that there is still something wrong with the map I will of course add a fix as soon as possible ;)

Ahhh! Thanks for letting me know so quickly on this. I'll be waiting eagerly for TDD v3 then :)
PS - Please disregard the PM I sent. I didn't expect such a quick reply.

To avoid confusion: I am not referring to TDD v3 but to v3 of the worldmap mod B)

As TDD WeiDU is based on a very different map, you should not use the old worldmap fix made for TDD 1.0.3 A. It would probably work (provided the name of the area files were not changed in the WeiDU version) but would at least write bad names over areas.
I assume Horred used an updated map like the one he made for BP (it's in a directory called 'SOS' and also handles additional area for SoS indeed) as it's much bigger (this would correspond to his work on adding links as in the BG map, just adjacents areas)..

Horred updated the TDD map to include SoS. He then updated it again to include the BGT mod. I then updated it to include BoneHill, DSotSC, NTotSC, and CtB. Yacomo then updated it to a new map which gives us more room between some areas (the BGT areas were really tight on space).

Therefore, a map fix for TDD 1.0.3.a would break all those new areas. Not to mention the names for the areas are probably different (different string references in the game).

If anyone knows what was fixed in that TDD patch, we can check Yacomo's mod to see if one of us had already fixed the same problem (I would assume someone noticed this bug by now).

When Horred made the BP map changing most link to include mainly local links between surrounding areas (or so I understood from his posts on TeamBG), he already included in some other way the fix I made for the TDD map fix. It is mainly a matter of following some rule in the link order so that the automatic inclusion of the watch tower does not break the links (the reason why you could not reach certain areas in TDD) or a fix for the meeting with Drizzt not happening in some circumstances (I gave more details on TeamBG at that time, unfortunately it's probably lost). Sharing my findings is probably the reason I got credited in the BP readme.
If following maps were built from that one, the old fixes for TDD are already there, as far as I can tell. Using the old fix would indeed break all changes made beyond TDD.
