And for what it's worth, we can open .rar files just fine, too. The only problem files are self-extracting .exes, and even some of them can be expanded without any problems.
Umm.. not that it matters much...
EDIT: I just noticed that the same can be said of the entire thread, so I probably won't feel bad about it...

For what it's worth, they really annoy me. I'll never understand why so many IE mod makers insist on using them - using .zips or .rars damnit!
Fortunately it seems Quitch is one of the "good guys" .

As far as RAR/ACE goes, i prefer rar, but that's because i've been using it much longer. Their on par with each other and i can get a few files to get smaller on ACE and vis versa on RAR.
Zip i keep around only because some sites (and people) require me to use zip format.
