is there any code to speed up the love talks ? i'm just before taking imoen and as someone in the forum said i should be after 3rd lovetalk to prevent imoen taking chloe from me

and if anyone can tell me if these variabels are correct:

No you don't have to be after the third lovetalk to prevent Imoen from romancing Chloe, it's just that the first three lovetalks proceed as if Imoen has not been rescued yet so it would make more sense if she were not there. Your variables now are sufficient to prevent a Chloe-Imoen romance (because the romance between the PC and Chloe is active).

After the third lovetalk, Imoen has to be present in the party to receive additional lovetalks. I couldn't really script the romance to accomadate both a fast-paced and a slow-paced player, so I scripted it to fit an average-paced player, and figured it was good enough. *shrugs* I've also found that messing with the Chloe timers can sometimes have adverse effects, such as throwing off the time of the camp GTKU talk, or causing the lovetalk script to fail to initiate lovetalks naturally. This made the testing a little... time-intensive and annoying, which is pretty much why I haven't played BG2 since the completion of the mod. ;) But, if you allow the talks to happen naturally, they should work just fine (as was the case in testing.) I'd say, mess with the timers at your own risk. You might throw a wrench into the wrong gear.

I believe if you use CLUAConsole:AdvanceRealTime(2000000) it should just activate the talks normally. I'm a slow person, so before i even get the 15000 gold i'm pretty far in, so i'm not sure if it will cause problems, all it should do is trick the game system to think that you where on for 2000000 seconds. This will probably cause alot of other dialoges.

And i've got a question of my own.

I've been doing the romance, and i've gone through 2 love talks before i went in to get imoen. What should the third one be like? I thought that the game would pause the Romance for Chapter 5 (i always do underdark for it's longer) and when i reach the surface, i get no romance. talks. I normally take an hour or two ( i play like 15 minutes a day) to get through the underdark, i'd think that there would be an dialoge. right after i get out of the underdark. I've gone through the elven things, and i'm resting in the Copper Coronet. Nothing... My variables are,

Are you sure that you only had two lovetalks? Because those values say you've had 5. If you've only had two, then for some reason the game thought you had a lovetalk and went on to the next one... though what could do that, I have no idea. Right now it's waiting for you to get above ground and towards a city zone so that you can have the 6th lovetalk which is an event.

Okay spoilers ahead, just so i don't get yelled att





I did the quest for the kid at the tanners, or at least killed the tanners, (is there more?) and then i went to the inn. I rested i had the love talk, asking her if she wanted to talk, and then said i'm still here for her. Then as i leave the inn, a few seconds later she says that if i'm not going to save the kid, then she is, i have a few saves forhand, since i did kill bohdi(save at leaving uderdark so i'll be able to do this over). But she leaves my party. Is there more to the tanner quest that i'm supposed to do?

Did you go all the way down to the bottom floor, where she finds the note about what happened to her village? If you did then I assume something is interfering with the quest being set to complete... but what, I have no idea.

I'm sorry to say that but i am very much in the same situation. i remember the first two talks, the very cute beginning of relationship involving motherly Jaheira :) (lol i didn't think Chloe was the type who would care about asking permission), and the next one ...then i rescued Imoen - and nothing happened way until i got back to the city - where i did the Yr'kai boy quest, found the note about the destroyed village and had the talk in the morning afterwards. Nothing happens now.

Ok i'm not exactly a genius when it comes to anything involving code - but i finally found variables ( :clap: i know, i know...) , which are:

What captain? I don't recall anything like that - the quest was left hanging, Chloe not having any links to follow the captors right away.

He/she meant the Tanner's quest wasn't completed because he/she hadn't talked to the captain to say "Yes, it was the tanner. Here's the evidence. I killed him dead."


Shar-teel, you've had all the "lovetalks". The last one is the Tree of Life dialogue where the commitment choice comes up.

You had three lovetalks before rescuing Imoen (or rather, three where Immy wasn't required to be there and the scripts assume she isn't for the most part), you had two after rescuing Imoen (one occurs mostly between Immy and Chloe talking about the PC with the PC getting in on at the end), two were the events involving the slavers you meet who talk about the Yr'kai boy and the other the events in the Tanner's house where the slavers holed up... and the eighth dialogue was after Chloe rested following those events... I understand that three of those probably didn't seem like "lovetalks" but script-wise, they were. Now it's just a matter of getting to the Tree of Life where Chloe decides whether she wants to die for you or not. hehe
