kotor 3 is coming out in may sometime i already got it preorder from game crazy so try there some time there are very helpful about things like that.
I doubt that will be the 'actual' due date.
Most games in the early stages change them throughout development. Just look at Halo 2.
No. No, they really are defunct.

I just hope Lucasarts have learned that you can't make a good, and most importantly, *finished* RPG in a year.
I'm hoping Christmas 2006.
They better learned that. Damnit. KOTOR 2 could have been so much better. It is good but it could have been better. LA shouldn't shortchanged fans like that.

I second that, Celestine. Kotor 2 contained way too many loose ends and bugs - particulary Revan's gender mix-ups annoyed me no end.

Personally I am always willing for a game/mod to come out a year late and that it be well done then come out 3-6 months early and be bug riddled and in some cases unplayable. Patience is a virtue and places like official game/developer forums seem to have a complete lack of it. Which results in alot of developers seeming to think that they need it out now or it won't sell (which is never the case just look at Blizzard's game release history) and so they release what are essentially unfinished games.

And do waht .. 5 other expansions ?? It's a whole different story anyways ..
NWN. SOU. HOTU.
Unrelated stories. It kinda worked there (although I admit not very well, but that was a NWN failing in general, as in, NWN was bad, rather than being a lack of continuity problem).
MOHAA did it as well, need I remind you...and is still doing it apparently (see Pacific Assault).

MOH can pull it off because it had so much momentum to begin with. There are others... The first Red Alert had two expansions, each with about 2 campaings worth of missions.

This was the case with KOTOR 2, but the people at Lucas Arts were so hellbent on rushing the game out for Christmas 2004 that they were prepared to make any sacrifices to meet their goal. Some people might actually view the release of an incomplete game as acceptable as long as sales of the game itself reach projected sales figures.
Does anyone know the official sales figures for KOTOR 2?

java script:emoticon('')
smilie There is no way that you reserved kotor 3. Maybe Star Wars 3 for GBA but definitely not kotor 3. I think you may be mistaken. I even went to the website to check and definitely no kotor 3.java script:emoticon('')
smilie Lets all be patient and allow them to build a better game than 2. 2 was awesome but 1 was ridiculously amazing. Lets get back to where we started before we end up with another devil may cry series. I only replied to let you know to double check. If I was expecting kotor 3 and got star wars 3 for gba instead. I would lose it.

And if its still based on the same graphics engine and with the same type of crap ending like K2? I'm sorry to say, I won't be buying the game.

I think it'll come too, just wondering who's the developer will be. I doubt Bioware will have its hands in it though. Not sure about OE.

I think the same people who dveloped KoTOR 2 will develop KoOTR 3. KoTOR 3 will finsih the story in KoTOR 2 because it DOESN'T HAVE A ENDING. It leaves you think whats going to happen ( a cliff hanger smart people).
