As the title suggests, Version 5 is uploaded. Get it here .

Be sure to note in the readme, the directions about deleting the databases cnr_misc, cmd_misc, and cpv_misc. These are important, if you want tables to be right. Many other changes as well; read the documentation. ;)

P.S: Hopefully this helps taper down the madness for a bit--I've got a swarm of Big Picture players waiting on a new version of BPv170 weidu. I'm sure you all know, this mod is far from the final version--but it gets better every time, I hope.

i dl'ed version 5 (prc) and... have a problem for ya. It has a memory leak. (bad one) memory usage starts at 200k ish...and increases steadily. (no players logged in yet)

i am assuming (by first glance) that the encounters are the problem, (player triggered only, ie:mobs are spawning new mobs) altho i heard that was a fixed issue by bioware. perhaps not.

i Would really like to check it out, as your mod is very similar to mine ...well at least in size and ...general content (prc lol) ok ok, i was just hoping to get prc to compile on mine... but i had the same compile problem with yours as mine...sigh. ;)

Giantkin, you should try to compile the module with the prc command line compiler (I donīt know how to work with it, but in the PRC forums thereīs plenty of information about those problems).

Horred, I finally get the thing to work, your module is a good remake of old good Nordock, but Iīm afraid my computer is too weak to run the server, the databases, and play with it as player/DM, and I canīt use another computer for now, because we have not enough for everybody and this ends in someone not being able to play or use his computer for anything else :(

So, Iīm thinking if you could give some guidelines about taking out the database thing, since in a LAN enviroment I donīt need any persistence because I always can save my game, and the databases get a lot of power juice from a computer. It seems that the original CNR 3.5 works without database inclusion, and Iīve tried to run this without mysql, but my game blows up before finishing to load the module (I think itīs because the prc cc, and with the java cc I donīt need such things). So, can you give some hints about what scripts I must take out for this to work without database support?? I know this must sound annoying for you and other players, but not everyone uses PW and server multiplaying.

Thanks

See you

Hahaha---I spend weeks getting the database to work, and you want me to take it out, eh? It's not as easy as all that, Elantan. You need to know a few things before even attempting it. You need to track down every last line that has Persistent in it.
You need to switch them all to the BW "Campaign" database system. And then, at best--your module will run at half-ass efficiency. Good luck. Elantan--keep in mind there are plenty of mods out there that have less requirements. I wrote a top-end mod, for those that can deal with it. Not many PW mods out there (less than a dozen), while there are 1000's of non-PW mods. I won't be changing this, myself.

Giantkin--the prc clearly states that the BW compiler cannot handle it. There is an option to commandline editting. NSSEditor is what I used; you can grab it from the Vault. It's a GUI, which makes things easier on most people (myself included).
Unless you can track down what specifically is causing this "memory leak issue" you mention, I'm not going to worry about it. It works, it runs, and that is enough for now. I've got a BG2 mod to work on. Get me specifics, and I'll address it. I'm not chasing my own tail for the next 3 weeks on this, I assure you.

i guess i should have specified that i do use the prc compiler...but heck, maybe its fixed in the latest versions... (or by my reinstalling of nwn) which was actually causing an issue..(most likely this one as well)

thanks for the response :)
