This question is usually posted in a BGII forum, but as I started to replay IWDII I remembered how many interesting or funny characters are out there, even if they're not joinable.

One of my favourites is the demon you meet in the severed hand. Normally he fights you, but if you start talking to him with the right character you will have a nice little chat about how the Blood War is going and then he just disappears. That was one of the points when I felt like just hugging my monitor.
