Check your path carefully. Baldur's Gate II is normally installed in c:\Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\ In your folder there are no spaces. When you go via your explorer to the directory where you have the setup_nina.exe file look for a dialog.tlk file. If you don't find one in that directory, you have extracted your nina character in the wrong directory and have to extract it in the right directory. If you do find a dialog.tlk file, right click on it and check the properties. If the read-only flag is marked, click on it so the check goes away and try again.Hey is anybody help me? Every time that i try to setup a character in my game for example setup nina or garrith when panel is open and start to setup it write me that : (c:\programfiles\blackisle\BGII-SoA\SETUP Nina.exe) WeiDUversion 155 ERROR: Unable to find DIALOG.TLK in: Please run this program in your infinity Engine game directory ERROR Failure: <''Unable to find Dialog.TLK''> Press Enter to exit. sniff sniff and nothing happent i try everything i dont know where i make wrong please help me im a bresillian girl who loves baldur game and i dont know well english maybe i didn't understant something i have to say that i havent the WeiDU version 155, is it this the problem or something else please answer someone. P.S: Liked the old avatar better--more risquee. (Just my two cents )
P.P.S: And if I was worth those two cents as a forum moderator, I'd move this to its own post. It has nothing to do with the topic whatsoever

RL means that progress has slowed considerably, but I am in the midst of testing the final compatibility changes made to BGT-WeiDU with the rest of the BP package. I haven't found a resolution, nor have looked furhter, into the EDWINJ append problem yet.
On other things, KD's creature sound fixes are in (making a super-dooper-messy .tp2 file) and works very cleanly.
ETA Release? Who knows.

- the EDWINJ APPEND problem still exists and I am going bald. This seems to be an extremely isolated problem so I cannot make a demo program for Wes to diagnose
- two new WeiDU bugs have arisen with REPLACE_TEXTUALLY not being able to recognise brackets [] and a similar but sporadic one with REPLACE_BCS_BLOCK -- causes two major bugs (one with AR0300 Docks District, other with going from Chapter 5 Chapter 6) -- e-mailed Wes about this one
If I can get these two sorted, version 0.9 will be out soon. Otherwise, sit tight.

maybe this isnt the correct forum but....
Ascension once this is done, weidu BGT, and Horred releases his weidu BP.
Will people like me be able to play the weidu version (because it will be easier to install) of BGT-BP-CTB-NEJ2-TDD-SOS-DSotSC-NTotSC-SoBH-etc-etc
Or am I correct in thinking that what we have currant today, non-wiedu version, is how we will be installing all of this from this day forward
because if it is than I guess I will have to get an updated install guides because of new versions that have come out, like NEJ2 for example because it isnt in any of the guides (Is NEJ2 already weidu or is CTB going to be compatible still in the new weidu mod, and the Dsotsc, NTotSC and SoBH will they be compatible?)
Sorry like I said maybe not correct forum.....The reason I am asking is because I see these large install guides but they havent been updated in quite awhile....I also see a massive undertaking in converting mods to weidu .....I am just wondering should I just wait because eventually they will go to weidu and therefore be easier to install and more compatible?
Thanks

Brackets have special meanings in WeiDU regexps, so you need to escape them with a backslash so WeiDU will take them literally. I.e, if I wanted to match [100.100] and replace it with [150.150] you would use (note that . is also a special character, so I'm escaping it as well):
REPLACE_TEXTUALLY ~\[100\.100\]~ ~[150.150]~

OK, will try that. The REPLACE_BCS_BLOCK still presents a problem though, and unfortunately, both problems use REPLACE_BCS_BLOCK. I only tried REPLACE_TEXTUALLY for testing purposes. Thanks though.- two new WeiDU bugs have arisen with REPLACE_TEXTUALLY not being able to recognise brackets [] and a similar but sporadic one with REPLACE_BCS_BLOCK -- causes two major bugs (one with AR0300 Docks District, other with going from Chapter 5 Chapter 6) -- e-mailed Wes about this one

Both EDWINJ append and REPLACE_BCS_BLOCK problems have been repaired. The former was due to a an EDWINJ.D in the base dialogues directory that escaped my attention for more a month! The others I have just converted to REPLACE_TEXTUALLY until further details can be found of the problem.
Thus, expect a release soon, but a word of warning: dialogue may be a bit screwy due to the compatibility system (no, I don't want anyone working on it either as of yet). Also, this version is going to be a BETA. So, its release is meant to be for the interested beta testers, so please don't expect a clean varnished mod smooth to the fingers. By all means post bugs here.
Like Yacomo with his world map, I also have plans up to the final 1.00 version, but that will be tedious work. Right now, I just need help stamping the bugs. So, if you have some free play time to help me out, then thanks heaps. Otherwise, you can still have fun doing other stuff, which is also cool.
EDIT: Please read the readme (as I will always say) for installation instructions and KNOWN ISSUES before you send me your tax bill full of stink beetles that would make me unconscious.
EDIT 2: The installation package will clock in about 12 Mb. BGT_MK3_112 is NOT REQUIRED, thanks to King Diamond. However, you DO need a valid BG1 install. Finally, could someone tell me if the BGMain executable file in the oldest BG1:TotSC installation (i.e. NOT the Original Saga) is named BGMain2.exe?

EDIT: Final note regards to installation, make sure you DO NOT have ANY Baldur's Gate CD in your CD-ROM drive. It seems to screw up WeiDU during the extraction process.
