Fine an dandy you do that , just make sure you get everybody's sides of the story an not just a select few.Well said !T everyone start acting like adults or ill start getting angry, the staff will be looking into this situation, nobody in FWMC likes the idea of modders stealing other modders work so we want to find the truth.
End of stupid discussion.

While a public release is out of the question at this point (and this was my goal)
---NOBODY can tell me what I can/cannot run on my own server.
I'm testing the mod out over this weekend; my server is Horred's PlagueZone, under the Action section on Gamespy. I'm making fixes as I go, so there is a lot of reloading going on; but the rest of the time, I'm there and playing. Others are welcome to stop by. You'll need both expansions, CEPv151, PRCv2.2c, and the hak and tlk file from here.
Now, my PC isn't the best out there; if somebody else would rather host it FOR me, with a good, strong PC and connection (ADSL or CABLE) let me know. Make sure you have some platform where I can send regular updates; you will also need a MySQL server, NWNX2, and NWN-FF. I can send my NWN-FF.ini file, even a copy of my database, to hopefully make things easier. The SQL server I'm using is named (oddly enough) nwn--as is the database.
I see nothing at all wrong with doing this. Public release to "whoever wants it" is an entirely different story--but something this should be just fine. My conscience is clear. :thumb:
If anybody wants to sue me over this, let them try. Just remember the old addage: you can't squeeze water out of stone!

You're missing the point here, Leutian. Of course, I'm well aware there is no legal percussion from this. That was meant as a joke. There are, however, moral considerations.
I spent months working on this mod; I feel I've earned the right to play it. I'm inviting others to come and check it out, because playing a PW all by yourself gets pretty boring after a while. My conscience is clear in this matter.
However, i don't feel that I have the right to release this for Tom, Dick, and Harry (et. al.) to grab, and do with as they please. I feel this is morally wrong, without getting that last modder's permission to do so. My conscience is not clear in this regard.
And considering the fact that I wrote this not only for my own personal pleasure, but to share with others as well--because there are very few publically available PW's out there. I took the sharing spirit of Mark Richter to heart, when he made this PW a public property a long time ago--he was not required to. I wanted to share with others as well, just to make people happy. And now, I can't. Not because I'm afraid of getting sued over it, but because I have to look myself in the mirror every night. And that, my friend, is a moral dilemma. Much worse than any mere financial penalty, in my eyes.

Persistence has PAID OFF!!!
I have managed to yank out all of the areas (I think), and most of the other residue; and better yet, it loads and it works!
Give me a few days to test things out, and this version will be RELEASED!
Note that there are a few things I didn't get filtered out; in particular, creatures and items. I took out whatI could identify, but some of these elude me. They probably aren't being used by anything, so this shouldn't be an issue.
Please, one and all---come help me beta-test this thing. So far, not a single person has come by to help me all weekend long...
I'm going to shut my PC down for an hour or so, and keep the dern thing from meltdown (I have a broken fin on my CPU fan, I'm sure you can see why I'm taking precautions). But afterwards, I'll have this thing back up and running. Come and by and give the Plaguemeister a hand, eh?
The hakpack and tlk file are already on the vault. While the final release version will be slightly different, this is enough to get you into the game. That, both expansions, CEP, and PRC haks as well. Yes, i know it's a lot of stuff--but this mod offers a lot, too. Come check it out....

ALso on a side note Horred, the Lowerdark areas, that you contacted the author about i actually didnt mean to give you i had completely forgotten about them being in there . and as for tazas areas , here is the final thing i have to say on this, yeah the areas are his , but the fixes to make them workable are mine, so what he does with em are his concern now as im tired of fighting over bs , yeah your also right i should have asked more specificly about them but at the time taza was part of the team and i did happen to mention it to him that i gave you the module, at that point in time there didnt seem to be an issue about it and then there was, yeah i may have acted like an ass over all this but it just boils down to this reason an this reason only , certain things have happened since dec that have made me not be able to stand a certain person very much and everything that has been said/ started here has done nothing but reinforce that, and i for one will lay down for noone and let them walk over me. and some of the posts from him could be and were taken as such. plane and simple guys, i should have been more careful with what content i gave horred an then this would have all been avoided. and like i said the lowerdark areas i simply forgot they were even in there as i had taken them out of the module i put on the vault and that module was based on what i was running at the time, so i guess i missed a few my apologies go out to horred for the confusion bs over those, and to the author for flubbin up an giving something to horred without realizeing it until it was too late without his permission.hmm i'm guessing if it was items from the areas from LK most of which arent used in anything other than the DM items, as well as a couple quest items from benzorYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey buddy, just found the forum. I'm really trying to find time to jump in and help you test it. If you need a server to run it on I could use mine to run it. Nobody's playing the older version of the server lately anyway. I'm really looking foward to testing the death system .
Did you read my answer on the invisible death corpse fix on my forum?

sorry... double post... my internet access at work blows.
No sweat, TDK--welcome aboard.
I replaced the invisible corpse with an actual corpse, and modified the on-screen display so that it looks cool from both the nexus and when you return. You actually see your body/soul rising from the dead upon return to the living now.
Since I'm not using the LOOTSYSTEM, I'm not 100% sure everything is working properly with it. The people that have been helping me test have just been "paying the price" for death--we all start at 1st level on my server, so the penalty isn't that steep.
I had an offer over the weekend, from somebody that wanted to run the server for me--but I haven't heard anything back yet. If you're interested, I'm all for it. I know that you're on-the-ball, and I also can send you regular updates if/when necessary.

One question that I've seen on other variants of Nordock (if you don't mind answering it):
Has the Ambrosia Tradeskill System been removed completly from the world? I've seen a few CNR implementations into Nordock but it is always a half-job...CNR is implemented and working but still a lot of creatures/items are ATS related. This causes some confusion with players on whic skinning knife to use/buy or how to get the proper resource (like spider silk) for their crafting needs.
I can't wait till the latest version hits NWNVault so I can give it a good test run. I expect my players will be very happy with the new changes/additions

I have to say that I'm very impressed with the possibilities that this world offers. Good show! I've used various incarnations of Nordock on my server and the players hate it when I try to bring another world into play. We'll try a new module and then end up going back to Nordock. Our last world was based on the NCP project and it works but I was intrigued when I saw that you have taken the latest version and added many of the things that I've either tried to add (mostly unsuccessfully) or wanted to add (and didn't have the time or patience).

ATS is 100% out. CNR is 100% increased. I have nearly 2000 recipes here (1938, to be precise). Ingredients spread about the world, no "craft garden" BS. Basic things are close to every player starting area. You don't buy your skinning knives, acids, flasks, etc--you make them. CNR craftable furniture for player houses, a full set. Systems altered, systems added. The CNR is my favorite thing I've done here; PRC and the 10 factions would be second. This is the real thing, tiggerlicker. I think you & your players will be pleasantly surprised.

That is most excellent news I've had a fondness for crafting ever since I played Ultima Online and could make my own stuff...the players who frequent my server like to be able to make stuff too and CNR has worked for us in the past. I'm just glad that ATS is gone Thanks for the info!
