download what? ftp://mirror.intermedia.com.sg/pub/iegmc/...SoS_weiduv1.zip is smaller than the copy of the same file at blackwyrm's lair, so probably is corrupt.I'm still trying to redownload. Any faster mirrors than the Intermedia one?

Thanks, Horred. I'll get a closer look this week-end.Isaya: The D files and TRA files in that folder are linked together; it's what I said I had done. I included it by mistake, but perhaps they may prove useful?
And referring to another thread, I wish you get some happy time away from us and miss us enough to come back

I'm currently running the big picture (non-weidu) with a lot of other mods. I know how the weidu versions of these mods would be supperior if I was doing a fresh install, but is it worth reinstalling everything now, and will it cause any problems?
A good question. Does anyone know if Vlad's WEIDU version of TS is compatable with Horred's version's of TDD, and SoS? I heard that Vald did some scripting things which might cause compatability issues.
Also, has Horred released the new version of TBP itself?

The new TS requires a fixed .tp2 only Horred has, and Horred is yet to release BPv170.

The SOS-WeiduV1.zip file on blackwyrms mirror is corrupt. I tried 8 times (2 different intemet access providers, download accelerator or none).
SOS-WeiDU has been replaced on IEGMC Europe and is now the correct file size.

I thought I remembered something about there being problems with the new TS in the original thread where Vlad announced it. Poopie.
So fallen_demon, that looks like a no. Unless you want to play TDD and SoS without TS or the BP exclusives. Thanks to Horred's hard work they are compatable with each other without the need of external programs to make them work together.
***EDIT*** Are the "errors" in the TS TP2 file something that could be fixed without having to redownload the whole file? Like something someone could post and could be C&Ped into the file itself?

I wasn't aware that the TS-weidu installer was causing people problems; hmm...
Well, I have the TS .tp2 file that I made for the BP release; I was going to wait until BPv170 to unleash it. I cannot simply upload that one file, because it also has a couple of .bat files with it (similar to TDD and SoS weidus, it will biff/unbiff the files--plus it saves time by installing most files to the biffing folders--not the override). There were also a couple of other files in TS itself that I patched up; I need to get those to Vlad anyways (if I can remember exactly which ones they are... )
We'll see if I can find a way to unleash it. Perhaps if I rename all to text, and let you guys decode them. And yes, it should be as compatible with TDD and SoS weidu's as well.

Look under Files/Big Picture Files. Note that you have to be a member to access this section; so if you aren't, sign up. Until I can afford a real website again, this is my best medium of transfer available for stuff too small to send to the Wizard.
Side note: I also uploaded the old BP Detectable Stats v101 package; some of you may remember this one--somebody was asking for it recently. This is a handy guide for those who plan to make mods for BP that involve advanced AI scripting.
Also there is the old XP Table that I used to calculate XP awards for the monsters in BP & BP-BGT. This would be a great table for those who have been adding a lot of content to the BP mod(s), so that they do not overbalance the game with high XP awards. (*cough SirBillyBob cough cough*). Hopefully, it is self-explanatory...if not, I'll try to explain.

From what I have gathered, it adds little mods like a version of Spell-50, Detectable Spells, Ascension, Tactics, and some AI enhancements.
Does it actually fix compatibility between TDD, SoS, and TS together at all?

Horred, I am a little unsure of what BP does exactly.
From what I have gathered, it adds little mods like a version of Spell-50, Detectable Spells, Ascension, Tactics, and some AI enhancements.
Does it actually fix compatibility between TDD, SoS, and TS together at all?
Well, it used to be the key role in compatability.....
Now, it might come off more as a collection of bugfixes, and enhancements--since the modern-day weidu has done so much of the other stuff. But if there is any glue that is still needed to bind these mods together, BP will still be the epoxy. I haven't gone deep into the bottom of this yet, and nobody has done any thorough testplaying of these three weidu's installed on top of one another--so I really cannot say yet. Time will tell, time will tell.....

I have done mine in the .bat file like this:
IF NOT EXIST weidu.exe ( echo WeiDU.exe not found. Creating... copy Setup-BGT.exe WeiDU.exe ) ELSE ( echo WeiDU.exe exists. Continuing... )
Same deal for tisunpack.
Also, some installation 'errors':
SoS Install
WARNING: internal label [302] not found in processed DLG [VICONIJ] WARNING: internal label [204] not found in processed DLG [JANJ] WARNING: internal label [207] not found in processed DLG [JANJ] WARNING: internal label [195] not found in processed DLG [JANJ] WARNING: internal label [366] not found in processed DLG [NALIAJ]
Isn't too big a problem but can cause dialogues to end prematurely and if connected to a quest, will likely break it
Unpacking 4880 tiles in SOS\TIZ/AR4300.tiz to SOS-TIS2/AR6800.tis
Is this renaming of AR4300 to AR6800 correct?
TDD Install
ERROR: error loading [TDD\SNIP/bAR2800.BCS]
bAR2800 is actually a BAF
Chanter, Hunt, and Buck kits already exist. Not a big problem, but can they just be removed? Or are they duplicated?

Oh dear, Horred. Looks like you made exactly the same mistake I did with BGT-WeiDU. Both the SoS and TDD installers need to check whether the user has weidu.exe in their BGII directory.
I have done mine in the .bat file like this:
IF NOT EXIST weidu.exe ( echo WeiDU.exe not found. Creating... copy Setup-BGT.exe WeiDU.exe ) ELSE ( echo WeiDU.exe exists. Continuing... )

oops. that's what I get for making them in a day...and packaging them in minutes.

I'll bet you a +1 dagger they were like that in SoS regular--next time

oh well, it's just a typo...next time; or make the fixes and upload it. It contained strref's, so it needed to be in baf format--now I remember.

I'm not sure. I knew a couple were screwy, automate didn't work right on some kits.
This is open-end as far as I'm concerned. Fix it and upload it to the wizard, if you like. I'm modding an entirely different game at the moment.

Um...........
Does this mean I should wait to finish DLing SoS? Or will their be a fixpack for it? Maybe a small zip that includes the incorrect files, so you can upzip the main SoS to your BG2 Directory, then unzip the pack, which will overwrite the error files?
A request from one of us with dialup. CoM did it with a couple of thier fixes recently and I loved them for doing that.

Well, they are not very major. I don't have enough knowledge of what happens in SoS to fix the dialogue label warnings, and BGT-WeiDU isn't compatible with these mods yet so there is no need to fix either at the moment. BUT, if you find bugs, please report them so we can juggle dagger +3s.So........

Gee, most of my enemies are copies of BP creatures.
However, Telvar, Zahrdahl, and the bandits did have way too high an XP amount compared to this table. Fixed. Also, you get nothing for killing innocents (why should you get XP for killing a child?)
Good to see this since most of the enemies in the sequel are all human and I had no idea what XP to give each one. I was working on a 10% of level XP concept. That was still giving you too much. So now I am going through the game and fixing them.
