If you want as many extras as possible, I would suggest looking at the comprehensive modlist on http://modlist.pocketplane.net - there is a lot of content out there of high quality without BP.

"Vlad has made it very clear that NeJ will never be allowed to be made compatible with even BP (unless he does it himself, within his mod--and I have sincere doubts on this seeing as he's never installed BP, nor intends to)." - horred the plague

Why cant you all just work togheter!!![]()
Get a big plan going, X person does this Y person does that make it all into 1 huge mod where every modder out there contributes into 1 package makeing everything compatible :thumb:
I wouldnt mind paying for something like this.. you could probably sell the idea to sites like gamespy and other gameing services aswell. If BG1 + 2 + hellofalotof mods gets fused up into 1 game think of the multiplayer possibilites!
I bet the the companies that made baldurs gate would support the idea aswell. they might even help distribute an "ultimat baldurs gate package". You could make some money out of this people, money for doing something you like, modding!
Anyways...keep up the great work modderies

Untrue. The notion that mods can't reach professional quality is rather... inaccurate.Perfection in a MOD??? Simply not possible.

The implication I read was that perfection could only be achieved if modding is payed, which by extension means professionality. I contend that a modder can easily produce something of a similar quality ("perfection") to a game that might be released by payed "professionals".

Yes, BP is one of the most popular Mods, directions for BG gameing. There is huge interest in BP.
Horred, a working modder with limited time for modding is much better than an out of work modder with unlimited time who is worring about bills. Not as likely to burnout! Let me know if I can help with anything (testing?). I have many differnt builds on my computer (I am currently playing RoT).
