Though ofcourse... Ultimately a more or less bugfree game is better.

Really. I thought for sure we were going over the release date. You have full control of your own character + a party of three. There will be party-interaction and such.
This thread really explains the details quite precisely. The last three-four pages deals mostly with facts.

According to the Vault, NWN2 has been put back again till 31st October.
http://nwvault.ign.c...ry.php?id=21253
Hopefully it won't slip again, and this is just for bug-fixing.
Well, drats.....![]()
But, I would rather it be later and more bug-free, rather than me having to apply an infinite number of fix-it patches after the release.
If its like the old one then I wont. Its not that NWN is a bad game, its just that I prefer having control over all 6 characters. So I prefer games like IWD and BG to NWN.
Wish they would make a new IWD or BG.
Back from the brink.
Like RPGs? Like Star Wars? Think combining the two would be fun? Read Darths and Droids, and discover the line "Jar Jar, you're a genius".
These, in the day when heaven was falling,
The hour when earth's foundations fled,
Followed their mercenary calling
And took their wages and are dead.

The word from the devs is that there's going to be significant amount of PC/NPC interaction, from commenting on the actions of the player to general conversation. There's also going to be at least one male and one female romance option, so I think character interaction looks good so far.... Though I'd hope for more interaction between the characters too. ...

It's actually official, J.E.Sawyer mentions it here: http://nwn2.warcry.c...ite=91&id=53561

I've seen the claims, but what actually turns out isn't always so impressive. Though if you excluded the ending then I felt Kotor 2 was a more interesting and character driven game than Kotor 1, so Obsidian do have good "form" in that respect.
Thinking about it, I have a feeling I saw a post that claimed there were romance options, as in more than one, for both male and female characters. I don't know if that was official, but I'd certainly hope so.
Benjamin: Can Obsidian talk about the diversity of Romance dialogue in Neverwinter Nights 2? For example, how much attention has female romance dialogue received.
[OEI]JESawyer: The female romance dialoges have received the same amount of attention as the male romance dialogues. The characters involved in the romance vary highly in personality so of course the experience will feel different.
RPGDot: Lately the discussion on the official forums has started to focus on the single player campaign. A question that has often been asked is whether or not romances will be included? Further, if they are included, are romance options going to be available for PCs of both genders? What will the impact be on the campaign and in the world as a result of romantic entanglements?
Chris Avellone: Yes, we allow romance options for male and female players, but since I am a cynic at heart, they may not come with the whole the sweeping chorus of violins and in some instances, may be unrequited or other difficulties preventing you from experiencing the now-classic Fade to Black. A lot of the romance issues are based a great deal on influence, not necessarily alignment, so the more the romantic interest trusts and confides in you, the deeper your relationship will be.

*Snigger*Yes, the fun rises daily as the game gets better. For a while things were looking pretty rough -- that's what re-writing a renderer can do. But the wait has been worth it. Seeing everything come together is very exciting. Bugs are also pretty amusing. Today I cast Isaac's Lesser Missile Swarm and I could only target the ground with it. When it went off, all the missiles flew around and hit a little kid in the face. Good times.

I think we're just spoiled by playing BGs.But as we've spoken about before, we are in dire need of a good singleplayer RPG campaign set in D&D or a similar setting, since we've not had that since BG.

Well, it depends on if he sees the Nirn setting being close enough to D&D... and I'd wager that the party aspect is pretty important as well. But as we've spoken about before, we are in dire need of a good singleplayer RPG campaign set in D&D or a similar setting, since we've not had that since BG.
I know a lot of people have... *ahem* "issues" with Oblivion, but what's wrong with Morrowind?
Or did you mean third person, party-based singleplayer RPGs?
