I know those things are official, but I like to keep the 'I`ll believe it when I see it' stance for now.
I'm in your camp, k... I, for one, will take a healthy dose of skepticism and ascribe to the belief that 'seeing is believing.' I still remember getting my hopes up for KotOR 2 and although it had it's redeeming parts, it still wasn't quite as advertised.

Ah, let an optimist live, you two
That's okay, Grunker... Don't let our jaded outlook on game developers who promise what they don't always deliver color your outlook.

I just preordererd Neverwinter Nights II - Collector's Edition in EB Games (primary PC-store in Denmark). Their releasedate was still set to 29/9 (September 29th).
Might be a flaw in their system - but they're usually pretty good at this stuff.

Interesting. It's down for 20th October at play.com and amazon uk, and my local games store says the end of October. But there are differences in release dates from country to country.
If you get it first, I'll be crossing the North Sea in a longship bringing Saxon justice to the Vikings
Back from the brink.
Like RPGs? Like Star Wars? Think combining the two would be fun? Read Darths and Droids, and discover the line "Jar Jar, you're a genius".
These, in the day when heaven was falling,
The hour when earth's foundations fled,
Followed their mercenary calling
And took their wages and are dead.

So, which one you're getting? The only thing Finland has on show on pre-order lists is this: http://www.nwn2wiki....Book-small2.gif. Well, at least the store I ordered my copy from is giving me Dragonshard for free because I pre-ordered NWN2 Limited Edition. Whatever that may be...

In Denmark we apparently have a good and an evil version, so I'm gonna go with the good one. The contents looks satisfactory
Did I read this correctly? Is it this way all over the world? I mean, will we have to choose our alignment with our purchase? What are those of us with split personalities to do? Buy both? (And, can we get a two-for-one sale?)
Questions, questions... *sigh* And I didn't even ask the real reason they pushed back the date -- whether it was because they're late in development/beta, or if they're [gods' forbid] wanting to exploit the holiday-buying season.
Edit: Anyone here interested in NWN fanfic? Yeah, Mr. Moderator.. I know it's Ot.. *raspberry*

Excuse me if I read this incorrectly, but do you mean whether the box-set will lock the alignment we can actually play in the game? I think we can choose from the usual ones no matter what MG
Ah hell, I probably just misunderstood.

It appears me system doesn't meet about half of the requirements so I will have to go without for a while.
"She was a fire, and I had no doubt that she had already done her share of burning." - Lord Firael Algathrin
"Most assume that all the followers of Lathander are great morning people. They're very wrong." - Tanek of Cloakwood

I was yammering off before I did a little research on my own for here. I can't speak for anywhere else on the globe, but here it's the 'usual.' Meaning, I will be able to indulge my goody-two-shoes paladin, and also my wicked-witch-of-the-west mage from the same box set. No distinction of alignment for buying the game.
But, checking out the Limited Edition versus the Regular, they're not saying here what you'll get for the extra $10.00 difference between the two. So far, all I have seen is the game itself, along with the toolset. $10 extra for a pretty box to show your friends?
