Either it's a typing error or something, but according to Gamefaqs, the launch date of NWN 2 should be next month.

Must be a typing error... The release date everywhere else states August or September.

It's probably just the old release date estimate.

Yeah they corrected it today after a few complaints.
It stands now at 19 September everywhere.

All you bloody idiots apparently haven't seen the latest news.

NWN2 is going to suck, majorly.

Anyone disagreeing needs to go get a brain.

Nah man, us people with only half brains seem to enjoy games a lot more, just stick with us ;)

EDIT: By the way, we will never be able to compete with YouKnowWhoIAm. Apparently, his mind is so big he knows if the game is going to suck or not before he even played it.

Heh, yeah. Just leave it that, no need to comment anything further, I think we all know better. ;)

If past behaviour is any indication of future performance, I wouldn't put too much hope in Neverwinter Nights II, considering what happened the last time Obsidian made a sequel to a Bioware game. (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II)

Though I find it hard to imagine Obsidian (or any other competent company for that matter) making anything even close to the Neverwinter Nights disaster, the bar is simply too low to limbo under.

Of course, if Obsidian decides to go one step further than Bethesda and start charging for each Chapter as a separate module, I'll eat my words. :D

You're so brave hiding behind that little YouKnowWhoIAm persona. If you had any balls whatsoever, you would use your "real" name. But, then again, I guess with all your little multiple personalities, it is hard to remember which one you registered under.

Now, please take your attitude elsewhere. Thank you and good night.

To have nothing better to do than this... I pity the guy (YouKnowWhoIAm). Anyways, Quiet Lurker:

KotOR II was better than KotOR I in terms of roleplaying opportunity.

True ;)

The biggest change they?re making, is doing Neverwinter Nights II as a more BG-ish game. Therefore, I am expecting much from it.

I'll play the game, then give my 2 cents about whether it sucked or not :)

I am hoping that their idea of making it "BG-ish" includes having a party as opposed to a henchman. Being able to balance a multi-character party to play through particular quests seems to make more sense -- expecially on a replay of the game. I also hope they improve the AI a little better. Having the henchman on your side go willy-nilly into a nest of baddies from halfway across a map is not the way to thoughtfully execute a strategic fight. (I thought the idea of the henchman was to protect me, not me bailing him out everytime he gets a little over-zealous. )

I'll probably buy it, though. If for no other reason, then I can complain about it firsthand not meeting expectations.

You can have a party of three NPCs with romance and dialogue. These NPCs are fully controllable, a la BG. This is official :)
