I was wondering if it would be possible to make a total conversion using Baldurs gate 2 as a template (by far the best of the series) (third ed sucks!) to recreate the birthright campaign setting the adventures and setting published could keep a games engineer in material for life! and as a bonus each little domain has its own details so even if you couldn't do the whole of Anuire at once (which would be soooo cool!) you could do each mod for each domain (would still be awesome).

Scions would be cool too I suspect much of the work is already done with Bhall childs special abiblities so bloodline wouldn't be hard to implement (not that i'd know I know nothing about coding :P)

I doubt realm actions could be implemented sadly but there are sources of reference for the ideas I've had. There was an old game produced for it back in the early 90s called Birthright Gorgons alliance.   Also if anyones interested in this awesome campaign setting www.birthright.net as well as a whole host of other online and written resources which can be found via google.

If some very proficient modders were interested in this setting I would cerytainly be interested in helping with the setting specifics and design theres not much I don't know and I have every published and unofficial download for the setting in existance.

ramble ramble ramble..... errm give me a mail or lemme know if you find this in anyway interesting or relavent :P

Should be possible, but very difficult and would take many years to do right.

See here for a thread not so unlike this one, and it basically comes down to:

- Do you have the sufficient skills in area-making, scripting, dialogue-writing, etc?
- Are you willing to spend 20 hours/week for more than 3 years working rather alone on a TC?

A TC is really, really difficult and takes very much time. Again, see Dragonlance TC as an example. We've spent years, and we're nowhere near finished, despite having experts working on different things, such as area-creation, scripting, dialogue, and a whole lot of other stuff.
