I don't know if this mod is the problem, but when I try to talk to the ancients, they won't talk to me. All it says is "you hear someone approaching."

Now I've waited for a while, even realoaded a few times, but the same thing happens.

Yes -- it is the problem with LR. You should see Ellesime approach you within seconds after you enter the Grove.

I suggest uninstalling the LR and reinstalling it. Please pay attention to the installation window and any error messages. Also -- can you find the file named WeiDU.log and email it to me at ladydorotea@hotmail.com?

I think your mod did not install properly.
