Tired of thief-mages? How about trying out a wide-eyed young man more than a few picklocks up his sleeve?

Andais's son
Corilen Delryn

"Tabby, hurry! We're going to miss him!"

The hooded young man turned to the voice, cocking his head innocently. Two women, obviously of noble birth, were running in a rather ungainly manner.

"Dali, stop calling me Tabby!" The other lady whined.

He smiled slightly and stood up with a smirk. He started to move towards the two women, aiming to collide with them.

"Ah!" The woman addressed as Dali glared at the bowed head of the lad. "Move from my path, peasant!" She snapped.

Keeping his head down, he nodded, hobbling away.

The ladies slipped into the Five Flagons inn. With a laugh, he removed his hood and threw the silken money pouch in the air. Catching it just as easily, he nodded. "Not a bad haul for a final plucking."

"You know, Cor, you really should be inside."

Corilen turned with a grimace, looking about. "I am finished for the night, mother."

A low chuckle made Corilen's blood run cold. "Andi is at home." A man stepped out in the moonlight, grinning. Moonlight shone off the streaks of silver hair that ran though tussled brown hair, barely showed the dark gleam of his chain mail, and highlighted the frown that appeared on the man's face.

"Oh." Corilen took a step back. "Why, father?"

Anomen Delryn sighed, running his fingers through his hair. "She and I are aging, Corilen. She tripped." He looked at his son, looking sad, a sight that Corilen never wanted to see again.

Corilen nodded. "Then let us return home."

"Actually," Anomen's roguish grin returned. "Andi forced me out of the house, claiming that my worrying was making her feel worse. So, she used Crom Faeyr."

"Crom Faeyr?" Corilen asked innocently.

"You do know what your mother was called when she worked for the Shadow Thieves, correct?" Anomen asked.

Corilen shook his head. "Mother never told me about the early days when you two met. She said that I should make my own stories. That's why I became a bard." Corilen took a glance at his father, marveling at the differences. Andais and Corilen looked far more like Andais with his almost-ghostly white skin and hair. His eyes were his father's, however.

"Your mother was known by two names. Blunt Blade and Bag of Flour." Anomen said with a laugh.

To be continued...

Granddaughters of Tanya
Nyx and Startica
Daughter of Tanya
Arianna

It's funny, isn't it, Nyx?

What is funny?

How we look.

True.

Then again...

Our mother IS half-drow.

And our father is half-moon elf. So where did I get gold hair and brown eyes?

From mother's mother, from what I was told. She said that her mother had golden hair and brown eyes. And she was the human of her parents.

Father said that grandmother was a heroic cleric. Serving the gods must run in the blood.

That and death.

Yes, we all know about the Bhaalspawn saga, snowflaky.

How many times I have told you not to call me that!

you have white hair and white skin! What else should I call you?

Do you want me to call you Waela?

I'm not a fool!

Then don't call me that, little sister!

We are twins, and the same height! How can I be your little sister!

I was born first!

Who cares!

And I am a better fighter too!

No, you're not! For heaven's sake, I've trained with a blade a lot longer than-

*sounds of a tussle*

"Honestly, girls," Rilas said with a sigh, dabbing at Nyx's cuts, nicks of red on her white skin, "You should stop bickering like that."

"Startica started it." Nyx said sulkily.

Startica glared at her sister, unable to speak since she was holding an orb of frozen ice to her lip.

"I don't care who started it, you two." Arianna, their mother, said as she tended to Startica's cuts. "Sometimes, I wish I only had one of you." She sighed. "But then I remember how much of a handful I was to my mother and father. I suppose this is Lathander's revenge for being so painful to one of his clerics."

Both girls rolled their eyes and sighed.

Rilas smiled slightly and patted Nyx's head. "For being children, you two are rather precocious."

The girls shrugged.

"Now, go to bed. You need sleep."
