Two cases where random NPCS try and attack me. (So far.)

De'Arnise Quest: When I talked to Nalia and the guards (right before going into the castle), they had the green feedback circles under them... no problem. However, when I got to the second floor and opened the door to the countesses room, A. Her guard stopped me and talked to be (the usual disscussion), and B, he was, for some reason, hostile. Not only that, but the countess was as well (even though she can't attack.) The moment I stopped talking to the guard, he started hitting me, and the countess hid in a corner to get away from me. I got past there by killing the guard and turning the AI off so my guys didn't kill her... Even stranger the two guys you meet on the first floor that are just inside of the courtyard? I met them - They wern't hostile.

When I got outside to the barricade, the only person that was there was the head guard that gave me the fire arrows. He was hostile too.... and not only that, but every single, squrril, skunk, rabbit was hostile too... not that they really mattered, but they also had had the green feedback circles under them before I went into the castle. I fled from the guard who disliked me and went back to town. I wasn't able to complete that quest.

Haer-Dalis and the Wizard Dude in the Temple District Sewers: You remember the place where you first meet Haer-Dalis? When I tried talking to him the first time, he was green, and was still mind controlled by the wizard. So I went back to fight the wizard. Had the whole conversation with him, and I attacked him. Of course, the moment I attacked him, he brought up all of his protections. So, of course I cast 'breach' on him. Oddly enough, the breach didn't effect him at all. What it DID tell me was Haer-Dalis: Breached; Haer-Dalis: Spell Protections Removed.

Riiiiight......

So I killed the wizard... besides the text error, nothing strange happened until I walked out to talk to Haer-Dalis. Who immediatly tried to kill me.

I'd worship anyone who can fix this for me. I'm expecting a script error. Here's the list of mods and stuff I have installed.

Shadows of Amn FULL
The Throne of Bhall
Latest Patch for BG:2
The Big Picture, with all needed components installed (Along with the latest BP patch and Tortured Souls v506 patch): Manual Install. And I double checked what I did.
Redemption
Banter Packs
Flirt Packs
Lv 50 Fix
Universal Carnsoyr (though how that could do anthing is beyond me)
G3 Tweaks
Imrpoved Thief Stronghold
Hell mod
Imprisonment fix
Improved creatures
Ease-of-use
NPC- Tweak
Oversight
Sharpshooter class
Soul fix
Subraces
Unfinished Bussiness
Vic Mod
Weimer - Item upgrade

If you need game data/information I'd be happy to provide. Right now, I'm just goingto Dominate Haer-Dalis and tell him to stay put until I fix this.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Might you ahve accidentally hurt one of the guards, or wild animals there?
Wondering where's the old Interplay community? Well, they're all at Ashford City!

I doubt it... when I was fighting the trolls, I wasn't using any spells like Confusion, Chaos, Fireball, or others that I know have made people go hostile towards me. I've also had alot of experience in not harming non-enemies by all the #### times thieves have jumped me in city amongst hordes of non combatents.

The two incidence (De'Arnise and Naer-Dalis) feel to me to be caused by the same thing... it's just a hunch though.

Why do they have green feedback circles? Only party NPC's, charmed/dominated NPC's, and summoned creatures are supposed to be green.

Neutral NPC's have blue circles.

What do you mean? Even when paused, neutral NPCs and creatures are not supposed to be green.

ok, i'm working from memory here, as i'm away from my computer that has BP on it, but it sounds like you've stuffed up yr BP install. one of the thing BP does is change the .IDS files that the game uses to identify (hence, .IDS) things like friends, foes, etc. a number of mods *also* change these files, but in ways that aren't compatible with BP - installing these mods usually causes broken behaviour of the sorts you've described.

a number of the mods you list are known to be incompatible with BP, others are untested - my guess is one or more of these has installed new .IDS files, and so yr getting the weird behaviour yr describing.

vis:
  • TSv506 and the Lvl 50 fix are known to be incompatible. the TS patch will only break the TS part of BP; the Lvl 50 mod is likely to break the whole install.
  • G3Tweaks, Oversight, Ease of Use and Unfinished Business all have incmpatible components - although not, as far as i know, .IDS conflicts.
  • Subraces is, as far as i know, also incompatible, and anything with 'improved' in the mod name is likely to break BP as well (ie, improved creatures) - these *do* have .IDS conflicts.
  • the vic mod and the soul fix are unknown as regards their compatibility.
i'm assuming you *did* refer to the BP compatibility list before installing, yeah?

you *might* be able to fix the problem by removing all .IDS files from yr override folder - this *should* cause everything to use the default BP setting, but i can't guarantee it'll work. otherwise you'll need to full re-install, i'm afraid.

and could a moderator please move this thread to the BP forum, please? cheers.

I had a similar problem with the Haer'Dalis quest, except the breaking point was where I gave up the Portal Gem and then THEY ALL Attacked me.
Irenicus: Now I have my revenge!

Protagonist: You talk to much...

Irenicus: (It came with the soul...)

Oversight's Improved Sendai does alter the .IDS files. *Moved*
