HLA question

PS.: of course I was referring to the Refinements HLA System here, since the unmodded game doesn't make any difference between a Kensai and a Monk table.

So, you'd just have to use a custom kit in any case, and assign a dummy table name to the LUABB.2da file.
Then use subcomponents to ask players which table is to be used, and let a quick weidu code replace the name of table in said file, appropriately.
Compatibility with Refinements would need coordination with table names and/or tables themselves, + checks to ensure refinements is installed.
Maybe this last point (and order of installation issues) could be avoided, it depends on design choices (I'm now reading through other topics, it might be the case).
For example, if you choosed to use ALWAYS a Kensai specific table, you could just include our table, and it would work with or without Refinements installed.
Only thing, with Refinements installed you'd also see the portrait icon displayed for True Kai, but this would happen despite the order of installation

What?Try to avoid optional kits where possible. For reasons, see this topic:
Khadion discussion.
I... don't see any specific reasons in that thread.

It's always possible to make a phantom new kit (as in a new kit that the player can't select) and then make Yikari that kit. It could be CALLED Monk, but have a combination of Monk and Kensai HLAs. Honestly, though, most people would really only care for Whirlwind, anyway.
That's the idea . I'll decide on a combination of Monk and Fighter HLAs, yes . Do you have any particular HLAs you think Yikari should have?

Still, if you prefer, I can modify that Kensai table by removing a few HLAs and replacing them with those taken from the new monk table.

So you could hypothetically have two (or more) monks with completely different HLA tables.
