some problems encountered

I realised I still had my old account from when I helped with the bg1 banter pack, so I guess I'll use it.
I've been playing the big picture for a short while now and so far it looks good. I did encounter several problems which I haven't been able to find a solution for.
Minor problem 1. Xzar and Montaron.
After returning the body of teh wounded man to the Harpers Xzar nr 2 appears before I even get to meet the usual Xzar nr 1, so the bird quest would be skipped.
Now I was able to fix this by installing patch s_h_version .3 and now the bird quest had become available to me. After the assassination of Xzar, Xzar nr 2 pops up and suggests he joins me to retrieve Montaron. The problem is that now the Harper hold is locked.
Now I did have Jaheira into my party and I'm guessing that by doing her quest I will eventually get back into the hold and find Montaron then, but is the really the sequence of events that has to take place or did I run into something odd?
Minor problem 2. Kagain.
When I meet him in the Gate district he has a weird dialog which makes no sense at all so I kicked him out again. Upon leaving he does actually give a coherent goodbye but I'm iffy to pick him up again.
Large problem: Rejiek Hidesman
I was doing the skinning quest in Atkathla but when I go down after him I'm trapped by a bunch of thugs and Rejiek himself. After having some irritation from the extremely low thaco that these thugs seem to have I finally was able to dispatch of them more easily by a death spell. What did give me problems here is that Rejiek doesn't die or leave at all. I know he's supposed to run down the stairs according to the original quest but he just doesn't. He stays on "near death" permanently and stays hostile even after hitting him for over 500 damage and death spells don't work on him to get rid of him.
Does anyone know how this can be fixed because if I just blind him and leave him be I am curious if this will mess up his trademeet encounter and ruin my chance of getting the armor of flesh (playing evil this time).
Btw, if it is any help, I only have the recommended mods installed in combination with the big picture. So that is everything in the 161G install manual:
- SOA
- TOB + patch
- SoS + patches
- TDD + patches
- TS + patches
- Big Picture
Optionals:
- FR / RoV
- Wiemers Item Upgrade (only partials)
- Redemption
- Imoen Romance
Any suggestion would be welcome. Thanks in advance.

the rejiek problem isn't a bug at all: you *can't* kill rejiek in athkatla, even in an unmodded game. leave him alone and let him escape, as you would in any BGIi game (you can't kill him til you get to trademeet and finish the main quest there).

Still a small question about the Xzar quest though, because I'm kind of curious. If I wouldn't have had Jaheira in my party I could never get back into the Harper Hold. How would the Xzar quest progress in such a case? Would the doors just unlock themselves?
Rejiek still remains problematic since he won't run at all. When I get down to his shop his thugs attack me and he helps them. I know I'm not supposed to kill him in Atkathla, but the problem is that once I get him to near death and kill off the thugs he still won't stop attacking and he doesn't flee.
So I'm kind of stuck there unless I try to blind him, ignore him, go downstairs to the sewer part and later on report him to the garrison guards. Hmm.. I think I'll try that approach then.

Well... I did finally finish Jaheiras quest and got back into the Harper Hold. Sadly when Xzar tries to resurrect Montaron he speaks of the blood and spell but he doesn't cast it. The screen goes into animation and I only end up getting experience whereas Monty's body remains in my inventory and Xzar doesn't start a dialogue saying it failed or succeeded.
Would the dialogue continue if I used Clua to get Montaron into the game and if so, which creature should I create for this to work?
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Uhm... never mind. Prior to resurrection I had kicked Jaheira out because I figured I needed space in my party. This is probably why it failed, it seems Jaheira has to remain in the party or he won't cast the spell. That's really silly.

Is this a familiar problem?

What? No, he has always worked before. What other mods have you installed? There is a part of the Ease mod that modifies werewolves and some people have problems with it (and it isn't supported in BP anyway). Can he not turn into anything or just not into a werewolf? I can't remember how many other creatures he can turn into.

I have only the basic things installed that are described in the 161G readme, because I didn't want to run the risks of coming across incompatibilities, but... I did install the s_h 4 patch after wards so maybe that caused me some problems with the other optional mods?
