Planescape. My least favorite is Ravenloft. Not because I think it's badly done or anything, I just always get hosed there.

Planescape/Multiverse. I'm a person that loves using the whole game world, so that includes Spelljammer, FR, Planescape, Dragonlance, Dark Sun, Ravenloft, etc. Not every story needs to use all or even multiple settings, but its nice to be able to do so if you wish.

From the D&D Worlds I prefer Spelljammer but my favourtie Gameworld is Aventuria (Dark Eye or Realms of Arkania).

Lots. The most obvious and recent examples are Planescape: Torment and Temple of Elemenetal Evil, but there were a vast number of D&D games made in the late 80's through to the mid 90's, many of which were non-FR.

Dark Sun games

Dragonlance games

Ravenloft games

Al-Qadim game

Birthright game

Spelljammer game

Though it should be noted that Al-Qadim can take place in FR if the players so desire. Its official location is the uncharted territory south of Faerun and southwest of Kara-Tur in the FORGOTTEN REALMS® campaign setting, enabling players to expand their adventures in the Realms.

Greyhawk. Besides the nostalgia, it always felt grittier to me. The politics more real, and a lack of the "magic under every rock" feeling that FR gives me.

The great wolf Fenrir gapes ever at the dwelling of the gods.

I've always felt that the forgotten realms was overly magical, had way too many ultra powerful characters, and that the gods meddled in it too much.

I also never liked spelljammer, just seems a bit goofy to me.

I prefer Dark Sun, Ravenloft (as long as its not simply reduced to some monster movie), and planescape.

I've never played in the Dragonlance setting, but from waht I've seen of it I would be pritty good as long as the players are not railroaded along, like they seem to be trying to do in many of the published adventures for it.

Dragonlance for me :thumb:
Magus: "If history is to change, let it change! If their world is to be destroyed, so be it! If my fate is to be destroyed... I must simply laugh!!"

Vash: "Normally when you buy an old, used bike, you're supposed to repair it before riding it!"
Wolfwood: "Are you dissing my beautiful shiny Angelina II?!?"
Vash: "I'm dissing YOU, not your stupid broken bike!"

It's all happening here
