**************Spoilers************************

I killed the wraith and his minions and entered the dungeon level. Found the statue and talked to it. It asked me to clear out the "evil". I immediately talked to it again. It indicated that it could sense the evil was gone and gave me the helm with true sight ability. Im not sure what is supposed to trigger that, but I hadnt cleared out all the baddies from the dungeon, so maybe a bug? Probably not though. It is probably talking about the wraith.

However, when I ran into the beholder, I used the helm to cast True Sight. The battle raged on and it cast some kind of mislead (although, Im not sure what the effect was as it didnt really seem to do anything. Text just read "gas spore : mislead" or something like that and I saw the typical animation of the "protected real target".). I finally killed the beholder and the gas spore illusions disappeared. Thing is, why werent they dispelled due to the True Sight spell? Whats with the mislead spell? Seems like both should have been dispelled by the True Sight. Bug?

Actually, there is a beholder and two gas spores there. So the gas spores are casting mislead (I don't know if True Sight can pick that up or not). The last time through I noticed that the spores didn't cast a cloud kill. Normally, that will kill the beholder for you. I may have to test that again.

The statue is referring to Telvar (the wizard) and the wraith. Both have to be killed before it will give you the helm. Since the statue is older than either of these two, it doesn't know who they are, just that they are evil. I had thought of just having the statue give you the item immediately, but then you wouldn't be tempted into clearing out this level. So, no bugs (this time).

Well, concerning the beholder and gas spores, when I killed the Beholder, the gas spores disappeared. The text read something like "gas spore illusion dispelled". If the gas spore was casting mislead, which makes a little more sense with respect to what I was seeing, why did they disappear when I killed the beholder? And what the hell is a gas spore doing casting an illusion? Arent they just mindless floating orbs? Anyway, you should take a look at this encounter.

BTW, according to the BGII manual, True Sight is supposed to dispell Mislead.

Hey, I just added the creatures already in the game. :(

I will have to take a look at this. It is strange for the spores to cast something they shouldn't know how to do. Also, they never did that in the original mod I made, and I didn't change them for this larger mod. So I will have to look at the script they run, seems that maybe a BGT-BP patch has fixed something else and maybe that now lets them cast spells???
