I always had an idea about what could happen when the Pc ascends to godhood, I'd like to see a mod where your ascension spurs another avatar crisis, yet you have control over the abyss and those sent there, and leading armies etc... you could have generals and make alliances with other dieties and do something like a godswar

Things might be like Sarevok and Yaga-Shura working together
Viconia becomes your high priestess
(or aerie)
matters if you are good or evil...
and you play your npc's as pc's doing specific quests to try and gain favor over townships etc...
It would require a lot of work but for it to maybe work properly one would probably need to have more than 6 possible slots for characters (I don't know if it is possible) but it would make a great mod to have something like 10 characters instead of 6 and basically it would be the never ending journey (if you chose to ascend) and having playable characters like the fallen bhaalspawn or the npc's that were in your party or even completely new ones to be generals and help fight good or evil or play neutral (the druidic neutral) and fight to keep balance between the gods...
But why should the adventure end even if you taken godhood, I mean an avatar crisis is possible and would be cool...(like it would be an expansion for ToB expansion)

That would actually be Baldur's Gate III, now, wouldn't it ? Apart from the logistics of such an idea, it is probably illegal.

So what is never ending journey the very mod that is based on when you chose NO to godhood why not just a mod that goes on after you chose godhood, just a mod... not baldur's gate 3.... :nana:
so on your mod that you editted the ring of gaxx and made it the one ring, technically you did something illegal unless you had the consent of those who have control of said game, though the game makers encourage modding, without the consent changing something from the game without strict permission is illegal... but I doubt you want to get into legalities....

your thinking of after the end (see the backburner) and this would be of significantly higher scale. I suppose it would be cool, but it would never, ever be completed.

*nodnods* Aye, you can go in every direction.... I think that by then, the Child Of Bhaal thing is worn out. It needs a fresh idea, and with a world as big as the AD&D's...*whistles a single long tone*...tons of creativity can be tossed in there.
