This seems to be the most common bug in the romance, and I know Nebukad is working on it, but it's still a bit unclear why it happens. One question - are you or Edwin wielding Staff of the Magi, making you invisible? If so, please try to unequip it and see if that makes Dekaras appear.

Help!
I just went to the docks to meet Dekaras. Just after the boy left("Good luck, you're gonna need it" comment) and the cutscene began the game shut down.
I tried to replay the scene but the game crashes every time.
Hi! I had the same problem last night, too. (exactly half a year after you
) and I now solved it: I figured it had something to do with the Dekaras.cre-file because it also happened when you don't talk to the boy at the beginning of the Docks, but spawn Dekaras with the CluaConsole.So I opened the Cre-File with Shadow-Keeper and it said that there's an item that can't be found in the Database (called "LEAT24") and that this item would not be saved if I save the file now. So I simply overwrote the Cre-File and then the game didn't crash anymore but the dialogue started normally.
(maybe there's a new version without the bug by now, but I couldn't find it here, so I thought I'd post it, just to be sure...)

Hello! First of all, thank you very much for this mode, I really enjoy it!
I have a problem with the altar, when I want to restorate Edwin after the final battle with Bodhi. The problem is when the altar speaks with me, I can see only the blank lines and I can select necessary line only by guess-work, clicking the blank ground. When Edwin appeared, the lines are displayed normally. That is in case of no modes installed (except Edwin Romance). Otherwise I can see lines from these modes instead of Edwin Romance. I can also click them, and Edwin will appear (or not, depend on the line I select).

It sounds to me like the most likely cause of your problem is a corrupted dialogue file - that tends to get lines mixed up with each other.

I'm having the same bug..Could anybody please post the link to this patch? Because I can't find it myself.didn't know where else to put this.. Well. Atleast I got the bug with the Nether Scroll, where his transformation to a woman gets stuck. There's a fix for it, and I had to download it, but wouldn't it be soooo handy and easy if the fix would be included with the romance mod? If you get the romance mod, you get Edwin, if you get Edwin, you get the Nether Scroll quest, which gets stuck at that point, so it would be nice if you could fix the thing right away with the same download and installation.

I no longer need the link, reinstalling the mod(Edwin Romance Mod)fixed it.

I don't know if this impacts gameplay, but I noticed that there's no response for if the PC-turned-Slayer does kill Eddie during the LovedOne sequence. I know nobody really wants to kill the guy, but still gotta cover all the bases!

Good point - I honestly hadn't thought about that, since that never happened to me. I'll look into it, and thanks for mentioning it.

Edwin turned into Edwina. I answered with the "will you be helping us with the scroll" thing when I got the nether scroll. so Edwina talks to me a few times then Degardan appears and all...and when Dedardan turns Edwina back into Edwin, Ed gives his "I am reborn" speech. I kill Degardan and Eddie says that line again instead of the usual "why are you hunted?" dialogue.

Um-trouble with tob part installation-where do I extract the files to? I've tried the D:Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA place, the first thing about 'updating weidu' or whatever comes up, but then when I attempt to install the mod, I get the error message of "Make sure you have unpacked the archive correctly and that you are not trying to run this file from inside an archive".
Did I do something wrong?
If I try to download the .rar version, which program do I use for it?
Help is appreciated.

The only mod I have installed is the Edwin Romance Mod and I JUST installed it about 2 days ago. Finally kill Mae'var, and Edwin's avatar pops up like he's saying something, but there's no text. There's also not dialouge choices for me. I clicked around randomly and and it posted my PC name in blue like I had chosen a response, but no response was typed out....

Ouch. Did you install while you had the game or any program that uses game resources (like Infinity Explorer or ShadowKeeper) running? Is your game patched? Do you have any other mods installed?

Nothing running, no other mod, game is patched.
Good news though, turns out the mod just needed a reinstall--now it works perfectly!

Just extract them to your main BGII folder, as that's where both SoA and ToB should be. To open the .rar files, use Winrar. Rarlabs, home of Winrar

Hm...I'm not exactly sure what is the problem, I must confess. If you have unpacked the .rar archives to the SoA folder, you should have a Setup - Edwinromance.exe file and one setup-edwintob.exe file present in your SoA folder.
Then, you should be able to simply run those .exe files to install the mod. You can't install the .exe files from within the .rar archive though - you must first unpack it.
Sorry if I'm repeating what's already been said, but I want to be sure it's all as clear as it can be.

Then to the point. I played this mod before, to the converstion when Edwin gives his amulet made of hair, but I had a problems with computer and have to start everything from the beginning. Now I've got a problem with Deagardan's second appear. After last lovetalk before this nothing happens. It could be fault of some other mods I have lately installed. I did everything I could, one thing reapired succesfully, but I haven't any more ideas what's wrong. The mods I have installed exept those mentioned in the other topic in this forum are: Dark Ritual, Desecration of Souls, Happy Group, Kiara-Zayia, Mordan X-mas, Improved Asylum, Kivan of Shilmistra, Oversight and Quest Pack. I know, someone has written, that Quest Pack is incompatibile (good spelling?

Ooohkay, it's about time some one helped you out. Let's first try to find out what's wrong.
So after you started the game all over again from the beginning, you got to the point when Degardan appears for the second time. And the lovetalk before his appearance - nothing happens? As I remember it, it should be the one where Edwina says: "Give me a lock of your hair", or something. Also, as I remember it, Degardan should appear right after that. So did this happen or not? Did he ask for the lock of hair and did Degardan appear after the dialogue? If he did, what's the problem? He should change Edwina back to Edwin, a man, that is, and then there should be a fight.
If you can, just tell us what happened and what didn't, and I'm sure you'll get your answer.
