i clicked on that link to the manual ,and when I downloaded & read it ,it wasn't in English ,it was all jumbles up squares and dots and stuff like Egyptian heiroglyphs.
Non of the other read-me's or manuals came out like that! What can I do to get the non-alien version in English?

Which manual was it? The one in here? http://iegmc.mirror.....sg/bigpicture/
It's a pdf file, and I can read it just fine. Does acrobat reader work with other pdf files?

Yep that wizards mirror one comes out the same as the one I clicked in the pinned BP install thread further up the page. Just loads of cubes and ' '' < and greek stuff. I *know* that its my fault, I'm a total p.c. amateur (but I'm very good at Playstation! LOL) . The thing is, the 'installing Big picture' text comes up fine, so did the BPbgt-nej install guide, and every other text I've got online. The only one that goes totally Vulcan on me is this BP manual. I've got a basic win98 installed with no extra word-programs, and its always been fine at reading texts...... As I mentioned earlier, I am starting a computer programming course this november, so I wont have to be sucha dumbass forever

What version of Acrobat are you using? I don't know if a new document can be read in 3.1 or any other really old version of Acrobat Reader.
Tired of Bhaal? Try some classics mods instead:

I didn't have acrobat on my PC! oops.I got risd of it to make disk-space for the BPbgtnej install, which still didn't fit !! Since then I just used a built-in standard win98 reader, which has been okay for reading downloaded texts ,up until this BPmanual.
I just downloaded acrobat602 again, and I can read the manual fine now. :thumb:
