Well that explains why Heroes of Might and Magic 3: Complete had ubi soft written on it. As for the animation importing isnt the problem with Heroes animations is that they are completely 2D? (for HOMM3 anyway, never played HOMM4 - cant find a copy anywhere).and the assets of Might and Magic and Heroes of Might and Magic were sold to Ubi Soft for $1.3 million.

text search in page for "H3sprite.LOD", which is the post I found the most useful.

Doesn't work that way. I'm not sure what animation you refer to but if it's not isometric its best to forget about it. 2d animations that can be edited in PSP, PS and so on are fine.
Something like Arcanum or Fallout graphics are an example of what can be transfered, given time and energy.

Without that, you have to manually make any animations that aren't included in the original files. Most games would have walking, physical combat, and dying/falling down. They might not have spellcasting or getting up animations though. Unless you're damn good at making those images yourself, you'd want a 3D program to make the animations from different angles.

SKM is also an audio format for polyphonic tones that makes it harder to search for on google though. I've had no joy finding either a plugin or signs of one for TOEE.
Arcanum Ive never even looked at.
Now, I know that the NWN dudes figured something out but I wonder if a 3rd part plugin has been developed.
All they have there are these: -

The funny thing about the 3D arena is that people write all sorts of plugins and whatnot then hardly publicize them. I was hoping that someone had written one but alas, my search came to no avail.

Exactly - it has an isometric view, and the characters look quite 2.5D.IIRC, Heroes 4 (aka HOMM 4) diverged from the previous games by having an Isometric battle view, so it might have graphics in a form that would translate into the infinity engine.
