redemption: yes, with a bit of work. see this thread and this thread for the changes you need to make to the setup-redemption.tp2 file in order for it to install over BP.

paperdoll fix: probably. a number of BP users have reported using it without any problems.

That means without TDD, SoS, TS.(and ascension 1.2 +++)

Absolutely wrong! BP doesn't function at ALL without those "big mods". (TDD, SOS, TS.) They are the core of BP, the whole concept of BP was bringing those mods together into a single game. It expanded and has several tactics components, and Ascension hardwired in as well. It's an all or nothing adventure now.
What "BP Light" means is without the optional installs of BGT and/or NEJ.

uh, so has anyone tried LR with BP yet?

i guess not (at least till now)...U can always though try ascension and redemption (i put oversight too) instead of the longer road....Its practically almost the same thing...u dont lose much....(actually i dont know if u lose anything at all)
So until someone tries it, I'm ok now with these mods...if i finish them perhaps I'll try it some day...

once more with feeling:

• Longer Road - does not currently work with BP, BP-BGT-NEJ, BP-BGT or BP-NEJ. might be able to be made to work with BP and BP-NEJ - but not BP-BGT or BP-BGT-NEJ - at some point in the future.
  
  
• Redemption - can be made to work with BP, BP-BGT-NEJ, BP-BGT or BP-NEJ, but you need to do some editing to Redemption's .tp2 file. see my earlier post in this thread for links to the threads that discuss what needs to be edited.
  
  
• Ascension - is hardcoded into BP, BP-BGT-NEJ, BP-BGT and BP-NEJ. If you install the Ascension mod you WILL screw yr install.

So why specifically won't it work with BG/BGT/NEJ? Because of too many music files? If that is the case, can't the extra music simply optionally be removed, or alternatively, is it not possible to condense the music files some more still?

yes, the music can be removed - one of those links above describes what needs to be edited out of the .tp2 for Redemption to work. As for why Longer Road won't work with BP-BGT-NEJ, i'm not sure as i've not looked at the .tp2 file for LR, but there's a thread on the LR forums where dorotea describes at least some of the problems. which is only really half an answer to yr question .
