side note: I'm fairly new to this forum thing, but I've noticed something interesting. people always go on and on about NO FLAMING! but I have seen people be real assholes in their posts, but as long as they have enough emoticons in their message, it's all right..... hmmmm. B)

How's about we go sort out a few chavs with Willie Bruce?

Actually, there is nothing wrong with characters having high stats in a non-prime characteristic. I only worry about the tendency to boost NPCs to a level where they seem to become "perfect". Again, I have nothing at all against Tsujatha (on the contrary, I'm really looking forward to have him in the party), but I can hardly believe it that he is "above average or outstanding" in every aspects.TG, you misunderstood my point here, I was not talking about differences between genders. I want to emphasize that it is possible for a NPC to have a high value for one of his stats which is not their main interest
My suggestion for a more believable character would be (although I don't know his background, I admit):
STR: 17 (he falls into the maximum cathegory - a good example would be Mike Tyson in RL for 18 STR...) - I suggest 14
DEX: 12 (odd, but as an elf, he might have more here...) - I suggest 15
CON: 12 (good)
INT: 19 (acceptable, but I find it hard to believe he is equally intelligen to Irenicus...) - I suggest 18
WIS: 16 (good, and reasonable)
CHA: 14 (again, it is fairly reasonable, he can easily be that charismatic acording the description)

ahhahahahahah!!!Er? What's a HAWT ?? And to answer the question the way I understand it-- when I see a romance character who is deliberately set as 'exotically beautiful overly bright super strong and charismatic' I think -- Fabio.
haha, yep, not me, for sure!then again who wants to play a romance with a 10/10/10/10 guy with mouse colored hair and eyes the color of dead fish? Would be a novelty though...

I can think of a few.Tsu has silver eyes too and golden skin. Alas, every modded npc out there turns out to be a bit of a Mary Sue (mea maxima culpa...)
<Gimme one modded npc with 'normal' eyes and haircolor, normal stats and no 'tragic and romantic ' story .>

What do you guess, how many times should you re-roll the stats in the SoA character-creation screen to get such high results? 20? 50? Oh, and don't tell me he was lucky...all this fuss over a net -1 to his stats

Cute even sexy but totally unrealistic... then again who wants to play a romance with a 10/10/10/10 guy with mouse colored hair and eyes the color of dead fish? Would be a novelty though...
Heh, then it would be real life!

Such a high stat for strength can't be justified if the character is a mage. It doesn't matter if he is from a warrior nation - this would be a reason for giving him a strength stat above that of your average mage (14/15 ish maybe) but nothing else.
On a side note i realised if you gave the stat increases from the machine of Lum the Mad in Watchers Keep to Tsujatha for Strenth and Intelligence he would have a natural score of 18 and 20 respectively without boosting items. You might justify the Intelligence increase but the other.... And a lot of people would probably do this so as to avoid wasting one of the Strength belts on someone else.
But then this is a pitfall for any borderline stat in a mod NPC.
Not to belittle the work done on the mod itself of course - good storyline!
Just my 2c

Exactly. BTW, Dorotea had a solid point by pointing on the drow: they ARE a warrior nation, and yet their mages have STR stats between 10-15...Such a high stat for strength can't be justified if the character is a mage. Actually for the NPC I'm doing, I set up the minimum stats and rolled twice. He got a total of 94 points, which is 4 higher than Tsuatha. I lowered that, but it is quite possible to get high rolls once stat requirements are in place. What do you guess, how many times should you re-roll the stats in the SoA character-creation screen to get such high results? 20? 50? *enter the lurking, self-proclaimed drow expert*
Actually, when it comes to physical characteristics drow are the weakest in str compared to the average elf. Especially a male drow, since they tend to be shorter and with a slighter build than a female dark elf. (Straight from the AD&D, Complete Book of Elves.)
If the Tamari are around 6'6, keeping in mind that an average elf is around 5'5, then it isn't too hard to believe Tsuatha would be that strong. Though I'm guessing that the more fighter inclined Tamari would be even stronger.
Since Sillara already provided a good explaination for *why* his stats are the way they are, then its all good to me. :thumb:
