When the new version comes out, you will not be able to use saves which exist within RtW areas, nor which have visited areas modified by RtW. If you use these saves you will find that strings are messed up, creatures missing, etc.
I would reccomend you get yourself a save where you've just started ToB, and a save where you're in the Pocket Plane after killing Gromnir... if you haven't already.

What kind of char should I have in the new build? I can bring my rouge who has some kick ass weapons and is pretty hard to kill, or should I make a mage or a cleric or druid thing? Do the vamps have something in there ai that makes them just all stand there and use there charm skill on my already charmed pc? When this happened to me I was mega laggy. One other thing that might be good is adding a stake or 2, and making the lock on the chest with the tainted sword bashable. When jan died I could of gone to the pocket plane to get one of my living rouges, but I didn't and tried to have my 25str dwarf open it, and failed.

A "cup" for a female halfling? I would have though a brassier to be more appropriate....Added cups for player and Mazzy.

Seriously, I assume this has to do with the ORH award if the quest is completed to their liking. Correct?
What is this? I also wonder about compatibility with Wiemer's Item mods & RTW. Both look like they will be modifing CF, Anomen's Shield, & Keldorn's sword.Unique Celestial Fury description now an optional component.
These are not one & the same? Two new creatures: Xyx and Gas Spore.

So any hints as to what the "Xyx" monster will be?
ACK! I used that one a lot. I curious as to why the restriction on this kind of wishing.Reduced the chance of the Wish Djinni offering the rest option.
Overall your list has me really looking forward to seeing the next version. That 3rd Imoen chat would be great to see as would the Dasy AI from the not yet done list.
Still having networking problems from my home PC, but hope to resolve this tonight.
Again anything still needing to be further tested in the current version?

The Ring of Wishes is being worked on now by the creator of the item. There was a problem with the equiping effects of the ring... but even Kensai Ryu couldnt fix it. He is re-making the ring from scratch. It will hopefully be in the next buildIs the ring of wish going to be fixed in the next version?
Making dasy immune to ctrl-y and ctrl-q would be good.
What kind of char should I have in the new build?
One other thing that might be good is adding a stake or 2
I posted a thread at BIS asking about Ctrl+Y on this dragon... and it was decided that it isnt necessary. You will just have to control impulses to cheat:p
I am curious to see the options that a Lawful Good Paladin would get... and generally see how well a paladin fairs in the mod.
ROFL... we arent here to chimp. There is one stake available in the mod... and Dasypus has that in his lair. The idea here is that Vidar's fears were real:p If you want more than one stake, then bring your own. There are several coffins.

Sounds like some good changes in the next version, but I have a few questions....
A "cup" for a female halfling? I would have though a brassier to be more appropriate....
Seriously, I assume this has to do with the ORH award if the quest is completed to their liking. Correct?
Yes... the cup is a symbol of their membership in the Order. Mazzy Fenton will be offered a Knighthood should you complete the quest honorably and she is in the party.
What is this? I also wonder about compatibility with Wiemer's Item mods & RTW. Both look like they will be modifing CF, Anomen's Shield, & Keldorn's sword.
I'm pretty sure that Westley knew what we were doing... this was mentioned and reported over 7 months ago when the two items were made (Keldorn's upgrade and Anomen's Shield upgrade). I wasnt too happy to see the Items Mod he made... we also have plans of our own for Cespenar. They will probably not be fully compatible. I wont change it now, I am finished catering to other peoples mods. Valen has already been removed from RTW when the Valen Mod appeared. Hareishan remains in RTW. Vidar from the Black Isle boards wrote the new Celestial Fury description for RTW.... again, 7 months ago.
These are not one & the same?

So any hints as to what the "Xyx" monster will be?
A Gas Spore is a beholder lookalike... that explodes with a poisonous cloud when struck. The Xyx creature is also a type of beholder... but dangerous. There will be only one of the Xyx creatures.

ACK! I used that one a lot. I curious as to why the restriction on this kind of wishing.
1. It is a wish forbidden by AD&D rules
2. It defeats the point of us limiting resting.
3. It makes the mod impossible to balance. Have this wish and you could beat anything. Without this wish you might be screwed.
What is this? I also wonder about compatibility with Wiemer's Item mods & RTW. Both look like they will be modifing CF, Anomen's Shield, & Keldorn's sword.
I don't think there will be any compatibility issues. The Celestial Fury description overwrites the Celestial Fury object. However, all Weimers mod requires is its presence. We don't remove it, we don't change its code... it is Celestial Fury with a new description.
Anomen's Shield and Keldorn's sword would be upgraded and replaced with new versions. Weimer's mod would not be able to upgrade these... but why should it? Cespenar is upgrading the older version to something more powerful. Well, in this case the knights have made them into something else, something that Cespenar cannot change.
Nor should there be any dialogue issues.
Again anything still needing to be further tested in the current version?
I still have to receive feedback on the things in my list, so yes.
One other thing that might be good is adding a stake or 2
A +6 sword of dragon slaying might be useful too, but it isn't going to happen. The note from Garren warns you that vampires are present. You didn't bring stakes? That's your mistake. I'm not even sure you can get stakes in ToB, so I guess there's no demand. Alas!
You'll just have to live with respawning vamps. At no time is the dungeon clear of creatures.

Those exploding tyrants can be hard if they get you trapped against a wall and all go boom. Around how much damage will they do? An idea for the vidar fight add lots of bats making it hard for mages to use spells. Resting should be hard in this place, but so far I can rest anywhere. This portal in the cult room does that go anywhere or is it just a fancy way to go and hack your way to dasy? Can't wait for the 3rd Immy so far they all kick butt. The items mod isn't working with me, but that could be other stuff, as I was doing lots of things with other mods and the like. The new npc is going to be in the next build right or wrong?
If mazzy becomes a knight does she gain anything or just something like lady in front of her name. Does my pally get to be knighted by the queen or something? I noticed on garrens corpse you get the deed to windspear hills, is that just there to give to his kid or do you get to control it before you go and get beamed up to the klingon ship to fight big mel?

Yes... and NO we arent adding something like that:pIsn't there a dragon slaying sword already?
Calm down there, cowboy:p I dont think there is any more room for cameos.I think there should be monsters called Rathwellin the Bard, Delvar, and all the other testers.
Same as CloudkillThose exploding tyrants can be hard if they get you trapped against a wall and all go boom. Around how much damage will they do?
Vidar will be a spell casting vamp with backup. His toughest vampires will show up at his side. He will cast Time Stop.. then buffing and protection spells on them.. then they will all melee you. He will cast a few other spells too.An idea for the vidar fight add lots of bats making it hard for mages to use spells.
I will have to double check that. You should get interrupted everywhere except in the empty storeroom, the new crypt and the beholder lair once cleared. What difficulty setting are you playing on?Resting should be hard in this place, but so far I can rest anywhere.
The portal is the way the cult mages will escape... then they will rig the thing to destruct.... basically you cant use it. It will be temporarily useable by testers in the next build to leave the dungeon after killing Dasypus. This portal in the cult room does that go anywhere or is it just a fancy way to go and hack your way to dasy?
Yes... its is in the one you are testing, but you just cant get to it.The new npc is going to be in the next build right or wrong?
She will get a cup, name and ceremony. Some dialog to indicate she is a member of the OrderIf mazzy becomes a knight does she gain anything or just something like lady in front of her name.
What Queen? You will be offered membership in the Order. The ceremony will be conducted by Sir Ryan Trawl, the Prelate and the members seen in the screenshot.Does my pally get to be knighted by the queen or something?
That is an oversight... he shouldnt have that. I just took his creature file from the game and converted it for our purposes. Although... it might be a good idea to have something to do with the deed.I noticed on garrens corpse you get the deed to windspear hills, is that just there to give to his kid or do you get to control it before you go and get beamed up to the klingon ship to fight big mel?

Use your eyes and take a guess. So any hints as to what the "Xyx" monster will be?

Known issue... I need to look at that.Do the vamps have something in there ai that makes them just all stand there and use there charm skill on my already charmed pc?
Fine. Go ahead and run checks on the KILLSW01, BMU, cap removers, Fake Talkers, BG1 tome spawners and any item not inherently in BG2. Do it without me, though. Why lock your doors when you know they can smash the windows? Because it makes it harder.

Now, now. No need to spoil. Our testers would have found out anyway. <_<A Gas Spore is a beholder lookalike... that explodes with a poisonous cloud when struck. The Xyx creature is also a type of beholder... but dangerous.

Amazing. The way you took my words, then ignored them and replied to something that no one had written.

Oh, so the one you sent me is one of the most important ones? The next version won't be put out until the Dasypus chat is in. I'm got Thanatos working on WeiDUing it, but at over 33 000 words it's a hefty conversation.
Wow, all of a sudden I feel needed and important as well! Cool... B)
