Problem with NI

WinRAR keeps opening NI in order to unpack it. How do I undo this? How can I start the program itself again?

Still modding the Mod for the Wicked... It is a big project you know... And I got sidetracked (several times) a bit... sorry.
However, as we all know, Evil never really sleeps.

Go into WinRAR and untick the box that associates WinRAR with .jar files (Options->Settings->Integration)

Assuming you use xp (for windows 98 I believe its shift+ right click to get open with...) right click NearInfinity.jar -> choose properties (or open with -> choose program) click the change button next to open with. If you're lucky java will be under recommended programs or other programs. If its not do a search for java and then go back to the open with box and click browse. Navigate to the directory where the java exe is (mines called javaw). Hope that helps.

I use 98 and I can't find a .exe. I can find a Java map, but there isn't any .exe in there

nope, unless I never installed it when I formatted my computer, but I thought Java was a part of windows and thus it should be there

Uh.. I just checked. That link that khayman gave works on all systems running something newer than Win 95.

When you actually want to download J2EE 1.4 SDK it says at the download center that it is for beyond 2000 or XP. It says that 1.2.2 should work under 98, but I can't locate that download

[edit] hmm... through a lot of links (something like 10) I find a page saying 1.4.2 will run under 98. Think I'll try it out and see what happens...
