Oh sweet Jesus--Tampax?!The one who died was a dummy Tiax impersonated by his cousin Tampax.

I meant a convincing plot reason why he remains alive rather than a mechanical one.Imprisonment? That might not work--it depends on how their deaths are scripted in.How would people suggest keeping Tiax alive in the Irenicus fight when everyone else dies?
Jes: Uh...

Make Johny a lot tougher, as per a suggestion I made a few months back (your mirror images being real simularcum, golems, decent assassins, etc...) and have the prisoners wait for you when you emerge from the maze, cornering Loc...
A pretty decent change.
You could run into some of the prisoners latter in the game...

I was thinking...Tiax would be motivated to fight Irenicus, of course...but would he choose the path of a "king" and let the party and the other inmates fight the battle for him? If so, the Yoshimo encounter could proceed normally, and afterwards you would encounter Tiax in a hallway?
Or perhaps he *would* fight together with the party and the other inmates. Irenicus would be scripted to only target the party, and not the inmates. He would escape, leaving the inmates (and Tiax) as they were. Why waste any more spells on those fools? At that point, Tiax could join...and as mentioned above, several new quests *could* be started, *if* the inmates teleport away to a safer haven, such as Athkatla or Trademeet.

It's been a while since I plated. When exactly does the Yoshimo betrayal occur? Just after you have defeated Irenicus?I was thinking...Tiax would be motivated to fight Irenicus, of course...but would he choose the path of a "king" and let the party and the other inmates fight the battle for him? If so, the Yoshimo encounter could proceed normally, and afterwards you would encounter Tiax in a hallway?

Archmage - nope. I, at least, never got to SpellHold before Firkraag. Athakla after you got out of the underdark, possibly helping you tackle Bodhi... one mage might be in Suldanessalar...

People that de-equip Yoshimo just before his betrayal suck.Andyr - yup. He's with the batch of assassins that show up right after Johny ports away - only if you brought him with you to SpellHold, natch. He shows up with the equipment you left him... if you follow my suggestion for improved Irenicus battle, the assassins should be there from the start, and Yoshi would only come out of the shadows when Johny flees, with brand new but simple equipment if you left him naked...
