Xzar and Monty! If they're hard to code, drag them from the TDD (but please remove Monty's new stupid kit. He is a fighter/thief and should stay as he is. IMHO). And the Bards! Both! E-e-eldoth!!!
... Garrick is bugged, when I crack him to join my party he often destroys all my game. Bad boy!

Thanks for the quick reply Deathsangel, I recall the characters now. I never even thought of Durlag's tower; it comes back to me now. And you are right about Xzar and Monty, I guess. I'll have to play with them in my party more often when I return to BGI. The last poster mentioned Garrick ruining her games - I tried to Ctrl-Q Xzar in BGII and my games got ruined too, tho I'm not positive it was that act or if I had too many mods installed at the time. I uninstalled-reinstalled and left him alone. I'm a bit paranoid of the Crtl-Q thing now...

Messing with CLUAConsole does indeed have the possiblity to ruin games. That is why I only use it for modding and in one rare occassion where the global didn't got set for Edwin's personal quest. That is all.

@Kania. I am sorry, but I have decided. Montaron and Kirinhale it will be. At least one of the characters you mention. For a bard you can turn to Kido

[edit] For people wondering, why I keep this thread open even though I have decided... It gives now still room for talks about this subject. I have taken a look at the stats of Montaron in BG1 and all the characters in BG2 that were in BG1. The upgrade to stats is 3 for the woman (Jaheira +3 Dex, Viconia +3 Wis) and 2 for the gentleman (Edwin +1 Str & Wis, Minsc +1 Dex & Con). So Montaron will also get an upgrade of +2. I am still thinking of either, in line with the male system +1 Str & Dex or +2 Dex (Montaron BG1 stats being Str 16, Dex 17, Coon 15, Int 12, Wis 13 and Cha 9). I am leaning towards +2 Dex for that makes him a better thief and will ofset his multi-classing a bit.

Thank you thank you thank you, sweetheart! I'll be waiting eagerly for my dear Monty! I'm really lucky - I've got no trouble like Minarvia's. And Xzar is always with me anyways. Sorry about Garrik, of course, but heh, dearest Haer'Dalis anyway wouldn't like Eldoth in my party, I'm somehow sure. So... Mo-o-o-onty!

For Monty, I'd suggest stats of STR 13, INT 14, WIS 9, DEX 18, CON 17 & CHA 6. Not amazingly strong, even for a little chap, but quick, tough, pretty smart and utterly repellant.

Sorry, but I won't do such stats Hendryk. My reason: all the BG1 characters that appear in BG2 only have upgrades no changes. You, however, lower strengt and wisdom and charisma. Lowering is at least out of the question, only a slight upgrade. I am sorry, if this is against your ideas, but I wish to do it like Bioware did, as to keep conformity (this might be the wrong word, but nothing else comes to my mind).

[edit] I just checked you go even lower then his original stats with 5 points...

Yeah, I know. I wasn't seriously suggesting that you do that; just trying to give an accurate stat pic of how I'd think he should be. I would suggest leaving his STR and, possibly, his DEX alone and just adding +1 or 2 to his CON though. And if you can see your way clear to lowering anything on him, his CHA should definitely be worse than a "low-normal" score of 9. Perhaps because of the number of times he got all banged up in BG1?

Kania, when you say you have Xzar with you all the time, do you mean in BGII? Really? You can Crtl-Q him and the game's okay? If so, maybe I just did have too many mods installed or something...

Well, I've got about 5-7 MODs, but they are all little. No new locations or NPCs. Maybe the reason is that I Ctrl+Q Xzar after he says "You are not Monty!". I make a pause and take him. At the next moment he is dead, but already in the group and I can resurrect him. LOL, after that in his "Information" he has - The Hardest Enemy Defeated - Xzar. Or maybe it's because I have Windows-98...
Anyway I have my Garrick to ruin my game.

Maybe THIS is the problem. Xzar dies and the game doesn't care if I'm able to resurrect him. He doesn't exist for it anymore and Garrick doesn't close his Irlana-Quest... oops, maybe I shouldn't kill Cyrando??? Nope, nope, not it. When I take his CRE-file from BG1 he stil bugs me. Something is very wrong with his DLG I suppose

It's okay. I am not an angry evil man... wait a second why am I coding then an evil mod Oh well I just love roleplay . An easy way to PM is to, if you are logged in, to click on the persons name. You get a little sheet with data on the right there also stands Personal Message (= PM) and voila you pop to the screen where you can right a personal message to that person.

Hm.. I realise this topic is a little on the old side now, but I just wanted to say something on the topic of a Monty romance; PLEASE DO IT! I can't wait to play this mod through with an evil female halfling and Montaron would be a perfect romance for her. ^^

I did that with Xzar too!

Right when Xzar is casting the spell, i pause ctrl+q and the un-pause. I also tried killing Lucette that bloody Harper.

Man!! I hate Harpers with a passions!

Thats why i'll never romanced Jaheira with any of my evil pc characters

I also did an item copy trick through the multi-player, So i could ctrl+q Wraith Sarevok in my group. Without losing his tear of bhaal.

I did however edited his weapon so that if i ask him to leave, the sword item wouldn't get stuck in my inventory.

Also i have this cool edited MultiG file from Baldurdash. That allows npc's to wait in the area, instead of disappearing into Oblivion.
